Abstract: A method for extra appending data in a multiple layer disc is provided. The capacity of the data zone in the multiple layer disc is fixed, and each layer comprises a plurality of appended sessions. When multiple layer disc is mounted, it is determined whether data is appended in zones following a middle zone. If the data is appended in the zones following the middle zone, a first jump address is obtained from a table of extended contents to serve a start address of appending the data. Data is appended to the multiple layer disc. An end address of appending the data is recorded in the table of extended contents to serve a second jump address for a next appending operation.

Abstract: The present invention provides a disc drive and a flexible cable assembly therein. The disc drive includes a circuit board, a flexible cable assembly coupled to the circuit board, and an optical pick-up unit which the flexible cable assembly is electrically connected to. The flexible cable assembly includes a flexible cable and a protector partly attached to the flexible cable. When the optical pick-up unit processes the data on a disc, the protector keeps the flexible cable away from the disc.

Abstract: A socket having a flange is applied to a display device. The display device has a side plate further having a combining hole to mount the socket. When the socket is mounted inside the combining hole, the flange of the socket sticks the side plate around the combining hole and a clamp plate for clamping the side plate at the combining hole is placed on top of the socket. By providing the flange of the socket and the clamp plate, the socket can be firmly restricted at the combining hole.
Abstract: An optical system for a projector and an imaging method thereof. A light beam from a light source passes through a first lens set and a second lens set sequentially. The light beam having passed through the second lens set is reflected by a first mirror to pass through the second lens set again and arrived at an imaging device. The light is reflected from the imaging device to a projection lens set to project the light beam onto a screen.

Abstract: Methods for fabricating fluid injection devices. A patterned sacrificial layer is formed on a substrate. A patterned first structural layer is formed on the substrate covering the sacrificial layer. At least one fluid actuator is formed on the structural layer. A first passivation layer is formed on the first structural covering the at least one fluid actuator. An under bump metal (UBM) layer is conformably formed on the first passivation layer. A patterned first photoresist is formed at a predetermined nozzle site and a contact opening site exposes the UBM layer. A second structural layer is formed on the UBM layer. An etching protective layer is formed on the second structural layer. The first photoresist is removed creating an opening at the nozzle site exposing the UBM layer. The UBM layer in the opening is removed.

Abstract: A generator disposed in an electronic device (such as a communication device) capable of vibrating is provided. The generator includes a vibrating motor, an actuating device and a weighting device. The electronic device can be vibrated or temporarily charged by the vibrating motor. The vibrating motor is driven by the actuating device to generate electricity. When the generator is in a first state, the vibrating motor can be driven for generating electricity by the actuating device through the weighting device. When the generator is in a second state, the electronic device is capable of vibrating through the vibrating motor.
Abstract: This invention provides an electronic device that has a battery with a power storage unit and a display module, a power detector and a display control module. The power storage unit is for storing electrical power and the display module is placed on the surface of the battery. The power detector is selectively coupled to the battery, and generates a remaining power signal after detecting the remaining power in the battery. The remaining power signal is used to control the display control module. When the power detector is selectively coupled to the battery, the display module shows the current remaining power in response to the action of the display control module. When the power detector is separated from the battery, the display module is essentially capable of maintaining the showing of remaining power.
Abstract: Displays with embedded color tracking algorithm based on panel optical characteristics are disclosed for color tracking of displays. A display comprising a panel, a switch device, a memory unit and a color tracking unit is provided. The optical characteristics of the panel are obtained by optical measuring equipment, and the optical characteristics are written into an optical look up table stored in the memory unit. Also, according to the optical look up table and a color value, a look up table is generated by the color tracking unit for color correction.

Abstract: A rotary module comprises: a digital camera module (DCM) electrically connected to a main body of an electronic product; a hinge assembly connected to a holding device (HD) and the main body, so as to allow relative rotation between the main body and the flip cover; a flexible printed circuit board (FPCB); and the HD to hold the DCM, and provide a wiring space for winding the FPCB and a hollow sleeve for receiving the hinge assembly. One end of the FPCB is connected to the DCM, and the rest extends along the flat surface of the HD, then winds around the wiring space, and finally connects to a PCB of either the main body or the flip cover. The rotary module could be disposed in an axial sleeve of flip-type cellular phone. When the flip cover is rotated, the HD and the DCM simultaneously rotate with the flip cover.

Abstract: A method for barring short messages and a mobile device which utilizes the same are provided. The mobile device is configured to receive a plurality of short messages from a message center, and includes a storage unit for storing short messages. The method of the present invention includes the following steps: providing an option of barring short messages in a Man/Machine Interface of the mobile device; enabling the option of barring short messages; and transmitting a first signal to the message center when the amount of storage data in the storage unit is lower than a predetermined value, so that the message center stores a plurality of first short messages which are intended to be transmitted to the mobile device.
Abstract: A printing apparatus including a separable ink cartridge, a body, and an isolating mechanism is provided. The ink cartridge is formed with a first electronic pad. The body is formed with a circuit board having a second electronic pad. During the installation of the ink cartridge, the isolating mechanism allows the first electronic pad and the second electronic pad to isolate from each other for preventing abrasion.
