Furthermore, a printer assembly is communicatively associated with the transaction terminal and generates a card assembly, the card assembly including a first portion containing the authorization code thereon, a second portion including additional promotional materials thereon, and an indicator structured to signify to the printer assembly the orientation of the card assembly relative thereto so as to prevent improper printing.

    Abstract: This invention is to an improved method for reducing crevice corrosion in assembly joints of aluminum fluid handling devices, the improvement comprising, providing a series of spaced ribs at the assembly joint configured to intermittently resist engagement of components along an elongated assembly crevice sufficient to segment the crevice into a plurality of minor assembly crevices dimensioned to permit substantial mixing of fluid within the minor crevices with fluid being handled by the device. The invention has particular utility in automotive heat exchangers wherein crevices at joints where polymeric tanks are assembled to aluminum metal headers are susceptible to crevice corrsion.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for welding a tube to a tube plate such as in a vehicular radiator core are provided wherein a tube end formed by a tube end sidewall protrudes through an aperture in the plate to provide a joint for welding the sidewall to the plate in the region of the aperture. A welding arc is moved in a selected direction along a path of travel to form a weldment along the joint where the arc encounters the joint, while simultaneously reciprocating the arc back and forth in a crossways direction relative to the selected direction with an amplitude of reciprocation sufficient to encounter at least a portion of the joint lying to at least one side of the path to further form a weldment along the joint portion as the arc moves in the selected direction.
