Abstract: A snowmobile has a frame, a tunnel, at least one ski operatively connected to the frame, a motor supported by the frame, and an endless drive track operatively connected to the motor. The tunnel extends above the endless drive track and has a first part and a second part. The second part extends rearward from the first part. The first part is made of a first material. The second part is made of a second material that is resilient. The second material is different from the first material. When a downward force is applied to a rear end of the second part, the second part bends downward from an original configuration such that the rear end of the second part moves toward the endless drive track. The second part returns at least approximately to its original configuration after removal of the downward force.

Abstract: A jerry can assembly is configured to be selectively secured to a vehicle. The jerry can assembly includes a jerry can and a base connected to the jerry can. The jerry can includes a container body for containing fuel therein, the container body defining an opening for filling and emptying the container body; and a handle connected to the container body for carrying the jerry can. The base includes: a frame connected to the container body of the jerry can, the frame having a first end and a second end; a tongue disposed at the first end of the frame; and an anchor disposed at the second end of the frame, the anchor being configured to secure the jerry can assembly to the vehicle. A bag assembly is also contemplated.

Abstract: A container including a container body and a fixture assembly configured for receiving an accessory container, the bottom surface of the container body being configured for connecting the container to a vehicle, the bottom surface including: a tongue attached to the bottom surface at a first end portion of the bottom surface, the tongue extending from the bottom surface, at least a portion of the tongue extending parallel to the bottom surface, the tongue being positioned on a first side of the container body, and an anchor attached to the bottom surface at a second end portion of the bottom surface opposite the first end portion, the anchor being positioned on a second side of the container body, the second side of the container body being oppositely disposed to the first side of the container body, the anchor including at least one anchor lock.

Abstract: A fender system for a watercraf includes: a fender body defining an insertion recess in a peripheral surface of the fender body; a first connecting feature disposed at least in part in the insertion recess of the fender body; and a connecting base configured to be connected to the watercraft. The connecting base includes a second connecting feature. The first connecting feature is configured to engage the second connecting feature for stowing the fender body on the watercraft. It is also contemplated that a fender system for a watercraft includes: a fender body defining an insertion recess in a peripheral surface of the fender body; and a first connecting feature disposed at least in part in the insertion recess of the fender body. The first connecting feature is configured to engage a second connecting feature disposed on a part of the watercraft for stowing the fender body on the watercraft.

Abstract: A method for starting an internal combustion engine of a snowmobile is disclosed. The method comprises actuating a start switch of the snowmobile; in response to the start switch being actuated, sensing a temperature; in response to the sensed temperature being above a predetermined temperature, starting the engine using a motor-generator; and in response to the sensed temperature being below the predetermined temperature, starting the engine using a recoil starter.

Abstract: A tonneau cover system for a vehicle includes at least two panels configured to collaboratively form a container. The at least two panels extend laterally when connected to a tonneau of the vehicle. A first panel is movable between an open position and a closed position to gain access to an interior space defined by the container. In the closed position, the first panel extends parallel to a floor of the tonneau. A second panel is selectively placed in a cover or a storage position. In the cover position, the second panel extends parallel to the floor to collaboratively cover at least part of the tonneau. In the storage position, the second panel extends perpendicular to the first panel in the closed position. The first and second panels collaboratively form the container when the first panel is in the closed position and the second panel is in the storage position.

Abstract: A track assembly is to be mounted on a drive axle of a vehicle. The track assembly has a frame, at least one leading idler wheel mounted to the front of the frame for rotation about a transverse leading idler wheel axis, at least one trailing idler wheel mounted to the rear of the frame for rotation about a traverse trailing idler wheel axis parallel to the leading idler wheel axis, and a single drive wheel assembly. The drive wheel assembly includes a sub-frame removably securable to the frame in any one of a plurality of longitudinal securement positions on the frame, and a drive wheel rotationally mounted on the sub-frame for rotation about a drive wheel axis. The drive wheel is operatively connectable to the drive axle of the vehicle. A pair of track assemblies is also described. A vehicle having the pair of track assemblies is also described.

Abstract: A method for controlling engine braking in a vehicle comprises: determining a position of a throttle operator; determining a speed of the vehicle; and determining an engine braking mode selected. In response to the position of the throttle operator being a fully released position and the selected braking mode being a first engine braking mode: controlling an engine and a position of a throttle valve according to the first engine braking mode for applying a first level of engine braking. In response to the position of the throttle operator being the fully released position and the selected braking mode being the second engine braking mode: controlling the engine and the position of the throttle valve according to the second engine braking mode based at least on the speed of the vehicle for applying a second level of engine braking. A vehicle implementing the method is also disclosed.

Abstract: An electric system is disclosed. The electric system comprises first and second battery subassemblies, an interrupter, and a system controller. The interrupter connects the first battery subassembly in series to the second battery subassembly via a switched current-limiting path in parallel with a switched non-current-limiting path. The first battery subassembly causes closing of the switched current-limiting path when an energizing trigger is applied to the electric system. The system controller causes closing of the switched non-current-limiting path when energized by the first and second battery subassemblies. The electric system may be integrated in an electric vehicle. A method for energizing an electric system is also disclosed.

Abstract: A vehicle including a chassis; a seat; a motor; an endless drive track; a suspension assembly supporting the endless drive track. The suspension assembly includes at least one slide rail and at least one suspension arm pivotally connected to the slide rail and the chassis, the arm including a top bar extending laterally and a shock absorber. A first support assembly connecting a first end portion to a first chassis side and a second support assembly connecting a second end portion to a second chassis side. Each support assembly includes a bracket connected to the chassis at a top portion of the bracket; and a connector disposed on an end portion of the top bar, the connector including an arm portion, the end portion extending through a connector passage, and a flange portion defining a slot therein, a bottom portion of the bracket being received in the slot.

Abstract: A watercraft has an unsealed hull that is permeable such that, in use, water flows at least partly into an internal volume of the hull. The hull has at least one hull panel having inner and outer panel surfaces. At least one buoyant element is disposed within the internal volume of the hull. A conduit extends within the internal volume of the hull and defines at least one outlet for discharging water therethrough. An inlet connector of the conduit is configured to be connected to an external water source in order to supply water to the conduit. In response to the external water source being connected to the inlet connector, water flows through the conduit, out of the at least one outlet of the conduit, and onto at least a portion of at least one of the inner panel surface and the at least one buoyant element for rinsing thereof.

Abstract: A watercraft includes a deck, a hull supporting the deck, and a barrier structure. The barrier structure includes: a frame connected to at least one of the deck and the hull and at least partially surrounding a portion of the deck; and a pliable sheet wall connected to the frame. The frame includes an upper portion including a rail for grabbing by a user's hand; and a lower portion connected to the at least one of the deck and the hull. The lower portion and the upper portion are connected to one another. The pliable sheet wall is stretched across at least a portion of the frame so as to extend between the upper and lower portions of the frame. A barrier structure is also contemplated.

Abstract: A guard assembly is provided for use with a track assembly for a vehicle. The guard assembly includes a guard body having a rigid portion made of a first polymeric material and a flexible portion made of a second polymeric material different from the first polymeric material. The first polymeric material has a greater modulus of elasticity than the second polymeric material. A vehicle including a guard assembly, namely including a guard body is also contemplated.

Abstract: An anchor for use with a base connected to a vehicle includes: an anchor case; a latch rotatably mounted to the anchor case, the latch having a latch body; a cam extending from the latch body and separated from the anchor case by a space, the cam being configured to be inserted through a base aperture defined by the base, the cam being rotatable about an axis between a locked position and an unlocked position to selectively secure the anchor to the base; a lever operatively connected to the cam and rotatable by a user in order to cause the cam to rotate between the locked position and the unlocked position; and a biasing mechanism biasing the cam towards the anchor case. A system for securing an accessory to a vehicle is also disclosed.

Abstract: A vehicle has an engine, a limited slip differential (LSD) mounted on an axle driven by the engine, and left and right wheels operably connected to the LSD. At least one parameter indicative of a riding condition of the vehicle is determined. A slippery driving condition is detected based on the at least one parameter. The LSD is selectively locked in response to the detection. The slippery driving condition is detected when a torque requested by a user is above a load line of the engine, upon successive wheel slips occurrences, and/or when a wheel slip is detected while a preload is applied to the LSD.

Abstract: A floor tile has arcuate slots formed on its upper surface and defined about a common center of curvature. A positioning cavity is formed on the upper surface and located radially outward from a common radius of curvature of the arcuate slots. An accessory comprises a base having a bottom section. An attachment member is pivotally mounted to the base and has two arcuate hooks extending under the bottom section of the base. A locating projection extends under the bottom section of the base, being located radially outward from a pivot axis of the attachment member. To mount the accessory on the floor tile, the arcuate hooks are received in the arcuate slots and the locating projection is received in the positioning cavity. Pivoting the attachment member causes locking or unlocking of the arcuate hooks in the arcuate slots for attaching or detaching the accessory on the floor tile.
