    Abstract: A motor vehicle door lock with a central locking system drive and central locking system lever (3) driven by it, in which the central locking system drive is electromechanically operable in a reversible manner and has a drive element (4) with an eccentrically arranged driving lug (5) which can move in both directions of rotation in a circular path, a central locking system lever (3) that is pivotable about a pivot axis (7) which is parallel to the axis of rotation (6) of the drive element (4) and has a driving receiver (8) for driving lug (5) which is much wider than driving lug (5). The central locking system lever (3) can be swung into an unlocked position (E) and a locked position (V), by means of both the driving lug (5) and by manual operation in purely mechanically manner independently and unhindered by the driving lug.

    Abstract: An automobile door lock having a lock mechanism, with a variety of levers, and lock elements, like a ratchet (1) and a pawl (2), whereby the lock mechanism has an outer actuation lever (6), cooperating with an operating surface (4) of an outer door handle (5), and a clutch lever (9), cooperating with an outer actuating lever (6). Between the levers, there is provided a bolt connection assembly (12) with a longitudinal slot (13), a retaining bolt (14), and a bias spring (15). With the retaining bolt (14) loosened, the outer actuating lever (6) is moved by means of the bias spring (15), until it contacts the operating surface (4). With retaining bolt (14) tightened, both levers are firmly connected to form a unit which is adjustable by the outer door handle (5).

    Abstract: A motor vehicle lock for a motor vehicle closure member having a locking catch that is movable between an unlatched position and a latched position, a pawl for holding the locking catch in the latched position by latching engagement therewith, and a locking pin rotatably mounted on a carrier for rotation about an axis of rotation which is eccentric to a central axis thereof in which the locking pin is rotatable by a motor between a preliminary locking position and a main locking position and in which the pawl is disengageable from latching engagement with the locking catch by a dynamic effect derived from the rotation of locking pin from the main locking position in a direction toward the preliminary locking position, thereby releasing the locking catch. This dynamic effect is achieved, in accordance with preferred embodiments by a control flange on the locking pin which coacts with of the pawl.

    Abstract: A motor veicle compartment closure lock with a locking wedge (2) attached on the closure, and lock elements attached on an opening frame for the closure. The locking wedge (2) can be retracted, in a powered way, from an extended, open position into a pushed-in, locked position and, for this purpose, is coupled by a lever mechanism (3) to a power transmission element (5) with a powered drive. The powered drive can be built especially small and light because the drive is made as a drive that operates only in one direction (locking direction) and returns automatically in the opposite direction. Power transmission element (5) is slaved or can be slaved to the locking wedge (2) in the locking direction and moves freely in the opposite direction. A shifting lever (6) is provided that is carried by the power transmission element (5) in the locking direction and is spring-loaded in the opposite direction.

The outer safety lever (8) which is stopped in a released position when the lock latch (30) and detent pawl (31) are open, is mechanically optimized, while taking into consideration the requirements of a multistep locking by a central lock by making the stopping of the outer safety lever (8) disengageable, when lock latch (30) and detent pawl (31) are open, by movement of the central lock lever (9) toward a safety position, so that outer safety lever (8) can then be brought with central lock lever (9) into the safety position.

The locking mechanism (5) has an outside release lever (6), and when outside release lever (6) is operated, pawl (4) can swing into a release position freeing locking catch (3), e.g., by being lifted. The manipulation of the lock is improved since, in the opening movement, when the locking catch (3) is in the main locking position and the release lever (6) is operated, the pawl (4) is swung into the release position, where it is retained independently of the further operation condition of outside release lever (6) until the locking catch (3) has passed the preliminary locking position.
