  • Patent number: 6227399
Abstract: A tamper-evident fastening assembly for an outlet of a conduit, including a closure member for covering the outlet of the conduit, a strap extending from the closure member, and first and second fasteners connected to the closure member. The first fastener secures a first portion of the strap to the conduit by forming a first loop. The second fastener secures a second portion of the strap to the closure member by forming a second loop. Removal of the closure member from the outlet breaks the second loop but leaves the first loop intact on the conduit.

  • Patent number: 5706860
Abstract: A pipe end protector includes a protector body having a shape substantially matching that of a pipe end and at least one knock-out formed integrally with the protector body. The at least one knock-out has a peripheral edge having a first portion connected to the protector body by a hinge and is deflectable from the protector body. The at least one knock-out remains attached to the protector body while hingedly deflecting from the protector body about the hinge.

  • Patent number: 5546989
Abstract: A flange protector is made from a lightweight and inexpensive weatherproof material having good resistance to impact, weathering and fading. The protector has a double-walled corrugated construction. Circular end walls are connected with interior wall members that serve as impact resistant spring members and define a plurality of air channels. According to method aspects of the invention, a pipe flange is protected from impact damage by providing a flange protector having a cushioning layer.

  • Patent number: 5503189
Abstract: A protector for protecting a machined surface of a conduit includes a plate member for contacting the machined surface of the conduit, a flexible inner portion formed integrally with the plate member, and a handle that is formed integrally with the plate member and is defined on an opposite side of the protector by the flexible inner portion. The flexible inner portion is cooperable with an inner surface of the conduit to form an interference fit therewith. The handle is resilient so as to selectively deform the flexible inner portion to insert the inner portion into the conduit. When the handle is released, the resiliency of the handle allows the flexible member to return to its original position.

  • Patent number: 5213235
Abstract: A monoblock tube includes a monoblock body having a cylindrical configuration and a cap comprising a first portion and second portion hingedly connected by at least one hinge member. The body includes an upper part and a lower part, the upper part of the body including a circular area of a smaller diameter than the body and concentric therewith. The circular area includes a substantially T-shaped recessed portion which includes a cap fixture portion located toward a base of the "T" shape and a non-centralized substantially circular spout located opposite the fixture portion, the spout being in fluid communication with an interior side of the tube. The cap is substantially T-shaped to fit within the recessed portion of the circular area and the first portion is adapted to be releasably attached to the cap fixture portion.
