Abstract: A golf club head comprising a body and a stiffening structure is disclosed herein. The body comprises a face section, a sole section, and a crown section, and defines a hollow interior. The stiffening structure extends within the hollow interior from the crown section to the sole section to reduce stresses placed on the face section during impact with a golf ball. The stiffening structure is entirely located within 0.500 inch of a rear surface of the face section measured along a plane normal to the center of the face, and within 1 inch of the center of the face section along a horizontal axis parallel to the face section, and comprises heel and toe connectors connected to one another by a middle connector, such that the stiffening structure has an approximately X- or H-overall shape.

Abstract: A golf club head with an adjustable weight assembly that includes a pair of stacked, rotatable circular plates with through-slots and a slidable weight that can move within the slots and clamp the plates together so that they are reversibly fixed to a body portion is disclosed herein. The plates are preferably composed of a lightweight material such as composite, and are located on the sole so that the weight assembly is visible to a user. The plate and slidable weight combination and allows for an increased range of personal performance customization by way of adjustability and interchangeability without using up available discretionary mass in the golf club head.
Abstract: A golf ball comprising layers that have from 0.05% to 70% by weight of a radio-opaque filler, and wherein the concentration of the radio-opaque filler is measurably different in each layer is disclosed herein. The radio-opaque filler is preferably a compound based on barium, bismuth, tungsten, iodine, or reduced iron.
Abstract: A golf ball comprising an integrated circuit is disclosed herein. The integrated circuit comprises a gyroscope, a magnetometer, and a BLUETOOTH low energy (BTLE) radio, and at least one battery. A body is composed of an epoxy material, and the body encompasses the integrated circuit. A wound core layer is disposed over the body.
Abstract: A golf ball comprising an electrical component is disclosed herein. The electrical component comprises an integrated circuit having a gyroscope, a magnetometer, and a BLUETOOTH low energy (BTLE) radio, and at least one battery. A body is composed of an epoxy material, and the body encompasses the electrical component.

Abstract: Golf club components with complex structures such as lattice structures, beam structures, and complex surface-based structures, are described herein. A binder jet machine is used create complex structures within these golf club components to optimize weighting, sound, and performance of golf club heads. These components may be manufactured using a method that includes the steps of designing a golf club head component in CAD using optimization software, printing the component from a powdered material, and then removing excess powder from the component via port holes that extend into an external surface of the component and communicate with interior voids within the component.

Abstract: A golf club head comprising a body and a plurality of stiffening members, the tension or compression of which can be adjusted, is disclosed herein. The body comprises a face section, a sole section, and a crown section or a return section, and also defines a hollow interior. Each of the plurality of stiffening members is at least partially disposed within the hollow interior, and extends from the crown section or return section to the sole section to reduce stresses placed on the face during impact with a golf ball. The compression or tension of the stiffening members may be adjusted to affect the stresses experienced by the golf club head upon impact with a golf ball.

Abstract: A golf club head comprising at least one structural support member is disclosed herein. The structural support member has a smooth, organic-looking aesthetic and connects unsupported portions of the golf club head to improve the acoustics of the golf club head upon impact with a golf ball. Where the support member connects to other portions of the golf club head, the surfaces of the member have a curvature that changes smoothly and continuously, lacking any sharp corners.
