  • Publication number: 20070108975
Abstract: The invention relates to a magnetic-field-measuring probe comprising at least one magnetoresistive sensor (102, 104, 106) which is sensitive to the magnetic field along a determined privileged measurement axis. The inventive probe comprises: at least two magnetoresistive sensors (102, 104, 106) which are rigidly connected to one another in a position such that the privileged measurement axes thereof are offset angularly; and output terminals specific to each magnetoresistive sensor (102, 104, 106), in order to supply a signal that is representative of the field measured by each sensor along the privileged measurement axis thereof.

  • Patent number: 5076513
Abstract: The invention relates to an aerostat of the double balloon type intended to travel in an autonomous and reversible manner between the ground of a planet having an atmosphere and a predetermined ceiling altitude. This aerostat is of the type comprising a first closed carrier balloon (1) for containing a gas lighter than the gas present in the atmosphere, and a solar hot air balloon (3) comprising a permanent opening (6) permitting its filling by the gas present in the atmosphere. According to the invention the solar hot air balloon is provided at its upper extremity with an opening defined by an annular border, and means for sealingly securing this annular border to the peripheral wall of the carrier balloon (1), such that said carrier balloon extends partially into the interior of the envelope of the hot air balloon (3).

  • Patent number: 4937667
Abstract: With interlaced field scanned TV, a point (P) in a field at time (t+1) is determined on the basis of points situated in said field on the same vertical (C and D), and from points situated in the fields which are adjacent in time (t and t+2). The invention provides for multi-gradient motion detection, i.e. relating not only to the points on the same vertical (C and D), and to the points (A and B) having the same position as the point (P) but in the adjacent fields, but also on the basis of points (E, F, G, and H) which are vertically adjacent to the points (A and B) in the adjacent fields and occupying the same fields. Pairs of such points on either side of the point (P) can thus be defined. Interpolation is performed along each of the available pairs, and the interpolations are weighted as a function of the corresponding gradient.

  • Patent number: 4920163
Abstract: A paint for use on surfaces subject to lightning strikes includes a film-forming binder and a pigment, the pigment comprising at least one alkali metal salt or alkaline earth metal salt with a low first ionization potential, of a mono- or polyfunctional organic acid, carbonic acid or a polymer having an acidic group, the pigment being present in an amount sufficient to render the paint ionizable under the action of a strong electric current.
