  • Patent number: 11631636
Abstract: The invention relates to a module (1) in which voltages greater than 1,000 V and currents greater than 100 A are applied via supply lines, with an electrically insulating carrier (2), with a connection means (3) which has a material thickness greater than 0.3 mm and is connected to the carrier (2) via a metallization area (4) which is delimited by a first end (23) and a second end (24), with electronic components (19, 20) which are connected to the connection means (3) as required, and with cooling means (14). In order that the power is supplied from the outside via the connection means (3) directly to the module and thus the bonding processes that are customary in the prior art are omitted and parasitic inductances on the power supply are avoided, the invention proposes that the connection means (3) protrudes beyond one end (23, 24) of the metallization area (4) at least at one point, is not fixed to the carrier (2) in this area (9) and has contact means (22).

  • Patent number: 11359660
Abstract: A connection arrangement (4, 4?) of two components (1, 2) according to the invention has a curved surface portion having a contact point on at least one of these components. The curved surface portion can extend over the entire surface of a groove, for example. The other component has a taper. When assembling the two components before a force is applied, a line connection is created from the 2-contact point connection and when force is applied, the line connection changes through plastic deformation into a strip connection, on the basis of which the two components (1, 2) hold together.

  • Patent number: 10709564
Abstract: The invention relates to a knee endoprosthesis comprising a femoral component (1) which has two condylar surfaces (1a, 1b) for anchoring on the distal femur, comprising a tibial component (2) for anchoring on the proximal tibia, and comprising sliding surfaces between the two components (1, 2). It is proposed according to the invention that the entire femoral component (1), but at least its condylar surfaces (1a, 1b) are made of a solidly sintered ceramic for articulation with the tibial component (2), so that the knee endoprosthesis will have the least possible amount of abrasion with optimal reproduction of the anatomical and kinematic properties of the natural knee joint, in particular through suitable combinations of materials and by reducing the abrasion-generating surfaces.

  • Patent number: 10593963
Abstract: The invention relates to an anode and electrolyte and cathode in direct material contact in fuel cell applications, so that the anode and electrolyte, and the cathode and electrolyte, particularly at temperatures >400° C., can react in a solid chemical manner. Said reaction results in that the material of the anodes can diffuse into the electrolyte and vice versa, and the material of the cathodes can diffuse into the electrolyte or vice versa. The effect thereof is the modification of the electrical energy yield of the fuel cells. In order to prevent said effect, it is proposed according to the invention that a blocking layer is disposed between the electrolyte and anode and electrolyte and cathode and is made of areas having opened and closed pores and that the functional penetration paths for the diffusion are formed by the frame structure thus created.

  • Patent number: 10327323
Abstract: To provide more space for additional circuit elements (coils, capacitors) and/or to allow the accommodation of additional circuit elements required for shielding the circuits, the metallization regions are arranged one over the other in at least two metallization layers. The carrier body has a surface on which sintered metallization regions are arranged in a first metallization layer, said metallization regions carrying electronic components and/or being structured such that the metallization regions form resistors or coils. The metallization regions are covered, together with the components and/or the resistors or coils, by a ceramic plate, and optionally additional metallization regions are arranged in additional metallization layers on the ceramic plate and each metallization region is covered by a ceramic plate. Sintered metallization regions are arranged in a metallization layer for the purpose of accommodating circuit elements on the uppermost ceramic plate facing away from the cooling elements.
