Patent number: 7285925Abstract: A backlight module control circuit of a multi-lamp display device includes a control unit, multiple lamp driving circuits and a fault detection unit. The control unit includes multiple signal output terminals. Input terminals of the lamp driving circuits are respectively coupled to a signal output terminal of the control unit and output terminals of the lamp driving circuits are respectively coupled to a terminal of a lamp. A fault detection unit includes multiple signal detection input terminals, which are respectively coupled to multiple lamp driving circuits and lamps. The fault detection unit can detect whether any one of the lamps is out of order and then output a signal to the control unit, so as to make the control unit shut down the driving circuit of the failure lamp and continue to maintain an operation of other normal lamps.Type: GrantFiled: January 6, 2006Date of Patent: October 23, 2007Assignee: Chuntex Electronic Co., Ltd.Inventors: Sy-Shang Chen, Alex Leng, Allen Lee, Hsien-Min Yeh Liang

Patent number: 6443408Abstract: A stand unit for a flat panel display consists of an L-shaped base, an annular shape hinge member pivotally mounted in a circular recess defined in an upper end of the base, and a swiveling member rotatably mounted around the hinge member and having a flat formed at one side thereof and a plurality of teeth integrally formed around the peripheries excluding the side of the flat. Whereby an LCD screen of the flat panel display is readily assembled on the stand unit by means of the plurality of teeth inserted into a slideway defined in a backside surface of a housing for the LCD screen. A flexible retaining piece integrated on the backside surface of the housing of the LCD screen springs out after the flat of the swiveling member has passed thereby and limits the swiveling member in the slideway.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2001Date of Patent: September 3, 2002Assignee: Chuntex Electronic Co., Ltd.Inventor: Yuan-Hsing Hung

Patent number: 5850560Abstract: To allow sounds to be output by the audio amplifier of a multi-media computer system during periods of CPU inactivity and display screen blanking, a switch is added to the control circuit of the audio amplifier which overrides the energy-saving shut-down program which would normally be activated to cut-off power to both the monitor display screen and the audio amplifier. The switch is in the form of a transistor whose control electrode is connected to both the power supply and to the CPU, such that the transistor can be turned on either by a signal from the main power circuit or by a keyboard activated signal from the CPU's microprocessor, the collector of the transistor being connected to the audio input terminal of the audio amplifier.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 1996Date of Patent: December 15, 1998Assignee: Chuntex Electronic Co., Ltd.Inventor: Chang-lung Kang
