Patent number: 8256934Abstract: A puck light fixture has a puck shaped housing, the interior divided by a partition into a circular central compartment encompassed by an outer compartment. Air conduits closed to the housing interior admit flow of ambient air between top and bottom openings in the housing. The air conduits are in heat exchanging relationship with the partition for dissipating heat generated by a lamp in the central compartment and thereby lowering the operating temperature of electrical wiring and connectors in the outer compartment so as to allow use of lower rated wiring for on site hard wiring of the puck fixture.Type: GrantFiled: January 7, 2009Date of Patent: September 4, 2012Assignee: Troy-CSL Lighting, Inc.Inventor: Jeff R. Cunius

Patent number: 8240870Abstract: A halogen light fixture for mounting under a cabinet and over a counter surface, as in a kitchen, has a housing between opposite end caps adaptable to fixtures of varying lengths. A partition between the end caps cooperates with a housing top and rear wall to provide a closed wiring compartment including a power switch accessible on a bottom of the partition. A translucent diffuser panel is supported in open slots formed in the end caps and can be pulled from the slots for access to the lamps sockets. The fixture is held together by screws passing through the housing and the end caps.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2009Date of Patent: August 14, 2012Assignee: Troy-CSL Lighting, Inc.Inventors: Mark A. Pickett, Maer Skegin, Scott Searle

Patent number: 7798668Abstract: A corner mount light fixture has an extruded housing base with two mutually perpendicular housing walls and a wire channel coextruded with the housing base. A lamp holder snap mounts to the wire channel and pierces the insulation of a conductor pair press fitted in the channel. The conductor pair runs between two terminal blocks also snap mounted to the wire channel near opposite ends of the housing, so that multiple lamp holders can be installed at intervals along the conductor pair. Plastic housing covers snap onto the extruded housing base on either side of each lamp holder, and a glass lens is supported over each lamp holder in guideways molded on the housing covers. The lens slides along the guideways to open the housing for access to the lamp holder. Multiple fixtures can be daisy chained by interconnecting terminal blocks of adjacent fixtures.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 2006Date of Patent: September 21, 2010Assignee: Troy-CSL Lighting, Inc.Inventor: Jeff R. Cunius

Patent number: 7794132Abstract: An electric lighting system for concealed lighting and track lighting installations has lamp holders spaced along a custom power cable with two finely braided high current conductors. The cable and conductors have a flattened rectangular cross section and are exceptionally pliable to facilitate cornering in tight spaces. The cable exterior is slotted for reduced height of the installed lamp holders and optimum low profile of concealed lighting installations. The lamp holders are adaptable to different types of lamps and include an optional reflector. Snap-on mounting lugs permit installation of the cable and lamp holders directly to a mounting surface. Alternatively, a low profile track holds the cable and lamp holders.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2006Date of Patent: September 14, 2010Assignee: Troy-CSL Lighting, Inc.Inventor: Jeff R. Cunius

Patent number: 7600900Abstract: A halogen light fixture for mounting under a cabinet and over a counter surface, as in a kitchen, has a housing of continuous cross section between opposite end caps adaptable to fixtures of varying lengths. Screw fasteners pass through aligned openings in the housing and the end caps for attachment to the cabinet underside, and spacers integral to the end caps provide for air flow between the fixture and the cabinet. A partition also extending between the end caps provides a closed wiring compartment and some or all of the electrical components of the fixture, including lamp sockets and power switch can be mounted on the partition for ease of assembly and access.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2006Date of Patent: October 13, 2009Assignee: Troy-CSL Lighting, Inc.Inventors: Mark A. Patent number: 7384170Abstract: A counter light fixture has a fixture housing with a downward facing reflector and lamp sockets under the reflector, and a window panel hinged to the housing for access to the lamp sockets. The fixture housing is formed as a continuous extrusion including a wiring compartment which extends the length of the housing. The extrusion has a downwardly facing concave top section joined to an upwardly facing concave rear section. The reflector is under the downwardly facing concave top section, one or more lamp sockets are mounted under the reflector, the window panel is supported between opposite end caps of the housing under the downwardly facing concave top section, and the electrical wiring is contained in the upwardly facing concave rear section. The window panel slides away from a closed condition and then swings down to an open condition.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2003Date of Patent: June 10, 2008Assignee: Troy-CSL Lighting, Inc.Inventor: Maer Skegin
