Patent number: 4450987Abstract: A portion control liquid dispenser comprising a conductive metal liner forming the inner surface of a container or tank, an intermediate layer of insulation and an outer shell. The inner tank surface is cooled by a thermoeletric heat pump. A removable liquid container is placed within the tank so that its walls make contact with the cooled inner liner. The container is open at the top for liquid fill and venting and is coupled at its lower end to a molded element comprising a dispensing tube combination cap. The elongated dispensing tube extends downwardly within a locating structure and houses a plunger having a conical lower portion which normally blocks an aperture in the lower end of the tube. A solenoid coil is mounted about the downwardly extending tube and is activated by a selected manual switch to dispense a particular amount of liquid.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 1981Date of Patent: May 29, 1984Assignee: D.O.V.E. Patent number: 4385713Abstract: This invention involves a vending machine having helix discharge units used to store and dispense packaged objects such as ship products, etc. The unit preferably utilizes a rotatable helix dispensing spindle having an adjustable rod within the convolutions of the helix which can be pivoted from horizontal to vertical to vary the size of the merchandise storage compartments in the helix to accommodate different size packages. The size of the compartments is determined by the position of the rod, the compartment being largest when the rod is vertical and smallest when it is horizontal.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 1981Date of Patent: May 31, 1983Assignee: D.O.V.E. Patent number: 4312460Abstract: This invention involves a vending machine having helix discharge units in which the rearmost convolution of the helix is retained by a clip and held off the floor of the unit to reduce friction and prevent excessive side-to-side movement of the rear of the helix. The units are used to store and dispense packaged objects such as chip products, candy, mints, chewing gum, candy bars, cigarettes, cigars, etc. The unit preferably utilizes a rotatable helix dispensing spindle having a central divider within the convolutions of the helix which can be adjusted by rotation from horizontal to vertical and which divides the helix into separate side-by-side compartments which can be varied in any size to accommodate different size packages. The size of the compartments is determined by the position of the center divider, the two compartments being largest when the divider is vertical and smallest when it is horizontal.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 1980Date of Patent: January 26, 1982Assignee: D.O.V.E.
