  • Patent number: 11811384
Abstract: A high frequency power supply alternately outputs a first AC voltage and a second AC voltage to a plasma generator. The amplitudes of the first AC voltage and the second AC voltage are different from each other. An impedance adjustment device is disposed in midway of the transmission line of the first AC voltage and the second AC voltage. When the AC voltage output from the high frequency power supply is switched to a first AC voltage, a microcomputer changes the capacitance of a variable capacitor circuit to a first target value. When the AC voltage output from the high frequency power supply is switched to a second AC voltage, the microcomputer changes the capacitance of the variable capacitor circuit to a second target value.

  • Patent number: 11791134
Abstract: An impedance adjustment device includes a variable capacitor unit. A microcomputer changes the capacitance value of the variable capacitor unit by switching on or off PIN diodes included in n capacitor circuits separately. Thus, the impedance on the plasma generator side when viewed from a high frequency power supply is adjusted. When changing the capacitance value of the variable capacitor unit to a target capacitance value, the microcomputer changes the capacitance value to a relay capacitance value different from the target capacitance value. The microcomputer changes the capacitance value to the target capacitance value after the capacitance value is changed to the relay capacitance value.

  • Patent number: 11769651
Abstract: A high-frequency power supply device generates a high-frequency signal, periodically controls the amplitude or phase of the generated high-frequency signal, and outputs high-frequency power, magnitude of which is controlled on the basis of the high-frequency signal, amplitude or phase of which has been controlled. The high-frequency power supply device controls the amplitude or phase of the high-frequency signal such that the magnitude of the high-frequency power is a first level in a first period of a control cycle and is a second level in a second period of the control cycle which is different from the first period. The second level is lower than the first level. The high-frequency power supply device gradually decreases or increases at least one of the second level and the ratio of the length of the first period to the length of the control cycle, and gradually increases or decreases the first level.

  • Patent number: 11756768
Abstract: Proposed are techniques for simplifying the process of suppressing an increase in a reflected wave Pr due to IMD. A high-frequency power supply system for providing high-frequency power to a load includes: a bias power supply for supplying a bias power having a first frequency; a source power supply for supplying a high-frequency output having a second frequency higher than the first frequency and being frequency modulated with the first frequency; and a matching device including an impedance matching circuit for acquiring the bias power and the frequency modulated high-frequency output and achieving impedance matching between the source power supply and the load. The source power supply, in response to a trigger signal for timing having the first frequency, detects a reflected wave while causing a modulation start phase and a modulation amount gain to be varied, and determines an optimum modulation start phase and modulation amount gain that minimize the reflected wave.

  • Patent number: 11724329
Abstract: An arc welding control method for controlling welding in which a material of a welding wire is aluminum or an aluminum alloy, and a feed speed Fw of the welding wire is alternately switched between a forward feed period and a reverse feed period to repeat a short circuit period and an arc period, a welding current Iw is controlled so that an average value of maximum values of the welding current Iw during the short circuit period is 150 A or less. A reverse feed peak value Wrp during the reverse feed period is set so that an average value of time lengths of the short circuit period is 7 ms or less. Accordingly, the current value can be reduced when the short circuit is released and the lengthening in the short circuit period can be prevented, so that the spatter generation amount can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 11691212
Abstract: An arc welder includes a welding power supply, a forward/reverse welding wire feeder, and a controller for the power supply and the wire feeder. Welding is implemented by repeating unit welding steps each including a short circuit stage with the welding wire and a base material being short-circuited and an arc stage with an arc being generated between the wire and the material. A transition period continues from a starting point of the arc stage till the wire feeding rate reaches a forward maximum. An average welding current is defined as an average of the welding current during the short circuit and arc stages. Within the transition period, the controller sets a current suppression period during which welding current is smaller than the average welding current. Transition period length T0 and current suppression period length T1 are set to satisfy the inequality 0<T1/T0?0.8.
