Abstract: Implementations of the present invention provide systems, methods, and apparatus for securing trim to interior and/or exterior walls and wall portions. In particular, at least one implementation includes a system for connecting and securing trim elements without additional adjustments and/or fitting thereof. Moreover, the system for connecting and securing trim elements can improve accuracy and increase the speed of assembly, thereby reducing time and expense associated with installing trim to a building.
Abstract: Devices, systems, and components for attaching a modular element to a lateral surface at a variety of different angles include a connector module having a modular element interface on one end and a lateral surface interface on an opposing end. A flexible tip seal is located at the lateral surface interface of the connector module. The flexible tip seal enables an assembler to attach a modular element to a desired lateral structure at a variety of different angles.
Abstract: System, methods, and apparatus allow for maintaining a real-time rendering time for rendering the lighting effect during a time interval that is independent of the number of the one or more light sources within the design space. One or more implementations allow a user to provide inputs regarding the location of an object within a design space. Furthermore, one or more implementations receive from the user one or more inputs regarding the location of one or more light sources within the design space. Additionally, one or more implementations calculate a lighting effect of the one or more lights on the object within the design space. Furthermore, one or more implementations render the lighting effect during a time interval that is independent of the number of the one or more light sources within the design space, such that rendering the lighting effect for one of the one or more light sources takes the same amount of time as rendering the lighting effect for a plurality of the light sources.
Abstract: Implementations of the present invention relate to systems, methods, and apparatus for protecting individual spaces formed by modular walls from unauthorized and/or undetected entry. More specifically, at least one implementation includes tamper evident panels that can indicate unauthorized removal thereof and/or indicate an occurrence of unauthorized entry into a protected individual space.
Abstract: Implementations of the present invention relate to systems, methods, and apparatus for connecting one or more divider walls to structural components of a building. Particularly, at least one implementation includes a flexible connection that can allow at least a portion of the divider wall to move relative to the building's structural components. Consequently, such movement can help the divider wall to withstand seismic events, such as earthquakes.
Abstract: There is described a method for at least partially covering selected surfaces of a non-porous substrate with a flexible veneer, the method comprising the steps of maintaining a humid environment during the covering of said substrate with the veneer, applying a preheated adhesive to one or both of the substrate and the veneer, progressively shaping the veneer to the selected surfaces of the substrate through the application of pressure biasing the veneer against the selected surfaces and curing the assembly of the veneer and the substrate.
Abstract: Implementations of the present invention relate to systems, methods, and apparatus for providing components of a wall module and a modular wall with the ability to shift or move relative to each other. The ability to shift can reduce or prevent damage to the wall modules during movement of support structures (ceilings, floors, permanent or structural walls) that secure the wall modules, which can shift or move relative to each other during seismic events or otherwise.
Abstract: A modular wall includes a plurality of inter-connectable and interchangeable wall modules. At least one of the wall modules includes a recessed, extendable piece of furniture, such as a bed, desk, table, work surface or chair. When in a closed configuration, the furniture folds into or otherwise resides within a recessed pocket in the modular wall. When in the closed configuration, the outer surface of the furniture forms an exterior surface of the wall module; thereby, concealing the furniture seamlessly into the modular wall. The exterior surface can comprise one or more exterior interchangeable tiles.

Abstract: A modular wall with acoustic properties including one or more wall modules arranged in a desired configuration, and methods of forming the same. The wall module includes a frame configured to receive a plurality of wall elements, and a plurality of wall elements attached to the frame. An acoustic substrate is secured to the frame by a ladder or ladder frame including horizontal support members coordinated between retaining members configured for attachment to the frame or elements thereof. The frame and ladder or ladder frame can be used to sandwich one or more acoustic substrates therebetween. Exterior wall, finishing, and trim elements can be attached to the horizontal support members, frame or frame elements, and other wall elements for structural and/or aesthetic purposes.
Abstract: Implementations of the present invention include a cable consolidation box for providing secure access to networks with multiple security classifications. More specifically, the cable consolidation box can allow a network administrator to physically secure network cables originating from multiple networks having distinct security classifications. In one or more implementations, the cable consolidation box can have a plurality of entry points that are segregated from one another. Each of the plurality of entry points can be associated with a corresponding plurality of segregated connection chambers. The cable consolidation box can thus allow for various types of cables, with various levels of security classification, to be associated with a single cable consolidation box.

Abstract: Implementations of the present invention relate to systems, methods, and apparatus for positioning and/or selectively repositioning one or more objects within an individual space. More specifically, a functional wall module can at least partially define the individual space. Furthermore, the functional wall module can include a single or multiple movable platforms that may support or secure one or more objects. As such, movement of the movable platform(s) may position and/or selectively reposition such objects within the individual space.
Abstract: Implementations of the present invention relate to a floor-mounted container that includes a rigid lower container portion defining an upper opening and a rim of the container, a flange extending from the rim and configured to support the container on edges surrounding a hole in the floor, when the container is mounted in the floor, and a lid with one or more trap-doors, the lid pivotally mounted to the rigid lower container portion and configured to pivot approximately 180 degrees from a covering position to an open position.

Abstract: System, methods, and apparatus allow for creating translucent surfaces within a three-dimensional model. One or more implementations render a three-dimensional model of a layout of a design space within an architectural design environment. Additionally, one or more implementations identify a first portion of the three-dimensional model that is positioned behind a translucent surface within the three-dimensional model. Furthermore, one or more implementations render a visual distortion effect for the identified first portion of the three-dimensional model. Further still, one or more implementations display on a display device the three-dimensional model comprising the translucent surface, such that the three-dimensional model is displayed behind the translucent surface in a distorted form based on the rendered distortion effect.
Abstract: A sliding door with reversible hand configurations can include a plurality of mounting locations along a top and a bottom edge thereof. The plurality of mounting locations can be configured to allow the sliding door to selectively hang and operate according to multiple orientations in order to satisfy site-specific handedness requirements. In one implementation, the sliding door includes a door frame and mounting hardware for selectively mounting the sliding door to a roller track affixed near the upper portion of a doorway.

Abstract: The present invention includes door locks having a cam having three lobes, and to systems including such door locks. The outer lobes of the cam can limit the rotation of the cam. By limiting the rotation of the cam, the outer lobes can ensure that the cam is always ready for immediate activation. The outer lobes can also strike against outer pins of a locking mechanism to cause the cam to rotate with the locking mechanism when the locking mechanism is activated from the opposite side of the locking mechanism. The present invention also extends to methods of installing and using a door lock including three lobes.
