Patents Assigned to Dominion Auto Accessories Limited
  • Patent number: 4080529
Abstract: A combination clearance and side marker lamp comprising a generally rectangular housing having a base wall and a peripheral wall surrounding the base wall and having side portions and end portions. Longitudinally spaced light bulbs are mounted within the housing and have at least a portion thereof including the filament below the upper edges of the side and end wall portions of the peripheral wall of the housing. A lens of transparent material is mounted on the housing and has a top wall and peripheral side and end walls. The lens has longitudinally spaced sets of arcuate ribs on the internal surface thereof. The top wall of the lens has a prism at each end thereof adjacent the area of juncture with the end wall constructed and arranged to direct light through said end wall.

  • Patent number: 4070566
Abstract: A lamp assembly comprising a lens, a housing assembly including a base, and a resilient mounting member fixed on the base. The resilient mounting has a central portion spaced from said base and having a centrally located opening therein. The opening having at least a portion thereof extending away from the center. A socket base is provided which has a planar surface and a centrally located projection with at least one laterally extending portion spaced from said planar surface of the base such that said base is mounted on the resilient mounting member by inserting the projection through said opening and rotating the base relative to the shock mount to bring the laterally extending portion thereof beneath the central portion of the resilient mounting member.

  • Patent number: 4070567
Abstract: A marker lamp comprising a base, a complementary resilient support member and a retainer engaging the support member and maintaining it in position on the base. A bulb socket assembly includes an upper member engaging opposed resilient columns integral with the support member and the lower member having an integral bulb-base contact element engaging a central column integral with the support member. The opposed resilient columns have recesses which engage outwardly extending elements integral with the upper bulb socket assembly member in a manner permitting freedom of movement, thus limiting shock transmission from the vehicle to the bulb filament.

  • Patent number: 3980878
Abstract: A vehicle signal lamp comprising a housing of generally cup-shaped configuration having an open end which is closed by a suitable lens member. The housing has two integral pads upon which a resilient member is mounted. The resilient member has two resilient ears which engage recesses in the pads on the housing and an integral tubular member between the ears. A socket member is telescoped within the tubular member and is adapted to receive a contact member, a compression member, a bulb and the required electrical leads. The resilient member is constructed to enhance the dampening of vibrations and mild shocks, while offering sufficient physical resistance to severe shocks which are less frequently encountered.
