Abstract: Peroxyformic acid compositions for removal of biofilm growth and other contaminants and impurities from industrial processing hard surfaces are disclosed. In particular, peroxyformic acid compositions may be dosed on site and/or generated in situ for the reduction and prevention of biofilms on the hard surfaces. Methods of employing the peroxyformic acid compositions for removal of biofilm growth and other impurities such as aldehydes and alcohols from industrial CO2 effluent are also disclosed which beneficially provide ambient biofilm control and break down more rapidly than other peracids, allowing for extended runs between CIP cleaning, including a reduction and/or elimination of cleaning of the scrubbers and other industrial surfaces.

Abstract: Cleaning systems employing detergent compositions in combination with builders comprising alkalinity and chelants are provided. The detergent compositions include amine oxide surfactant and alcohol ethoxylate surfactant blends having a mixture of chain lengths and branching provided. The detergent compositions are particularly efficacious for flexible cleaning systems for cosmetic and other soils as they provide the benefit of separate dosing of surfactants in the detergent from alkalinity sources in a builder composition. Methods of using the detergent compositions and/or the cleaning systems are provided.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are detergent compositions containing extended chain surfactants that form microemulsions with and can remove greasy and oily stains. In certain embodiments the extended nonionic surfactant includes Guerbet C10 or C12(PO)8(EO)n. The detergent compositions and methods of employing the same beneficially clean soils from textiles including difficult to remove cosmetic soils and food oils, even those comprised of non-trans fats.

Abstract: Described are compounds, compositions, and methods that include a nitrogen- and oxygen-containing aromatic compound, such as an aminophenol-based compound, which can be used for inhibiting polymerization of a monomer (e.g., styrene) composition. The compound includes a tertiary amine group wherein the nitrogen is attached to carbon-containing groups, and at least one of oxygen atom separated from the nitrogen by one or more carbon atoms. The antipolymerant can provide excellent antipolymerant activity in a monomer-containing composition.
Abstract: An anti-fouling composition has been developed that provides an advantageous reduction in the fouling of a structural part in a petroleum-refining system including reducing coking reactions and inhibiting deposition of solids in equipment and lines used for crude oil production and processing. The anti-fouling compositions contain a resin comprising an alkyl phenol-aldehyde resin, a polyolefin comprising a polyalkylene ester, polyolefin amide alkeneamine, polyethylene polyamine, polyalkyleneimine, or a combination thereof; and optionally, a polyalkylene imide, an amine-substituted polyalkylene imide, or a combination thereof; and optionally, N,N?-disalicylidene-1,2-propanediamine.

Abstract: A concentrated liquid sanitizing and rinse composition containing peroxycarboxylic acid(s) and compatible rinse aid surfactants is disclosed. The sanitizing and rinsing compositions are formulated in a single liquid concentrate, replacing a traditional dual product of a sanitizer and rinse aid. The sanitizing and rinsing chemistries are particularly effective at neutral pHs against gram negative organisms at elevated temperatures. Methods of using the concentrated liquid sanitizing and rinse composition are also disclosed.

Abstract: A dishwashing machine is used for pre-rinse operation of soiled dishes. A cavity is configured and arranged to contain the soiled dishes. A nozzle is proximate the cavity and is in fluid communication with the cavity. An accumulator pan accumulates wash and rinse water including cleaning chemicals used in a previous cycle of the dishwashing machine. A fluid passageway interconnects the nozzle and the accumulator pan. A pump directs the accumulated wash and rinse water from the accumulator pan to the nozzle via the fluid passageway for pre-rinse operation of the soiled dishes in the cavity, and the nozzle directs the accumulated wash and rinse water into the cavity with the soiled dishes to assist in removing soil from the soiled dishes prior to a wash cycle of the dishwashing machine. The wash cycle utilizes fresh wash water.
Abstract: Methods employing detergent compositions effective for reducing hard water scale and accumulation on hard surfaces, namely within food, beverage and pharmaceutical applications are disclosed. The detergent compositions employ phosphinosuccinic acid adducts in combination with an alkalinity source and optionally polymers, surfactants and/or oxidizers, providing alkaline compositions having a pH between about 10 and 13.5.

Abstract: A teat cleaning system provides a cleaning brush having first and second rotatable brushes that are rotated to clean the teat of an animal and to deliver a disinfectant, germicide, and/or purified water to the teat of the animal.
