  • Patent number: 7343091
Abstract: To provide an imaging device that can use a single illumination device to offer a light source suitable for imaging a translucent target object, while also enabling the imaging device to be mounted on a platform such as a desk. In case of slide film imaging, an illumination unit holding arm 150 is rotated into a position at a table side and an illumination unit 130 is brought into a sub illuminating attitude where the illumination unit 130 is laid over a top surface of the table 110. On that condition, a film stage 200 is mounted on the table 110 in a manner opposed to a camera head 120, and front end of a stage 202 is overlapped with and engaged to upper end of a casing of the illumination unit 130 that takes the sub illuminating attitude. Light irradiated by the illumination unit 130 in this state enters a region under the stage 202 of the film stage 200, goes through an opening 210 of the stage 202, and at last reaches the camera head 120.

  • Patent number: 7283312
Abstract: To provide a technique to constitute a fisheye lens unit with a small number of lenses. A fisheye lens unit uses a predetermined projection method, wherein a variation for the predetermined projection method is not less than the variation for an equidistant projection method, the variation being expressed by an increment of an image height in relation to an increment of an incident angle at a predetermined incident angle. The fisheye lens unit includes: a first lens group provided on an object side; a second lens group provided on an image side; and an aperture stop provided between the first lens group and the second lens group. The first lens group consists of three or four lenses, the second lens group consists of two or three lenses including a final lens provided on the furthest image side of the second lens group, and the final lens is an aspheric lens that has an aspheric shape on at least one of two surfaces of the aspheric lens.

  • Publication number: 20050157167
Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes an arm unit that is configured to be inclinable to a table. The imaging apparatus varies the extent of inclination to change an imaging attitude of the video camera between a faraway imaging attitude that is most distant from the table surface and a nearby imaging attitude that is most close to the table surface. When the imaging attitude of the video camera is changed as above, an illumination link mechanism in the imaging apparatus causes a swing motion of a first group of illumination LED and changes a spot to be illuminated by the first group of illumination LED in compliance with the change of the imaging location of the video camera, which changes the imaging attitude.

  • Patent number: 6893132
Abstract: In a camera-assisted presentation system, a microcomputer activates a motion detecting module to detect a motion of an object, based on a variation in luminance of image data representing a material photographed by a photographing module. In the case of detection of a motion of the object, the microcomputer controls an output control module to prohibit transfer of the image data to an image output module. Image data photographed immediately before detection of the motion is kept in an output image storage sub-module of the image output module. This arrangement effectively prevents any action of setting the material from being undesirably displayed on an external display unit, thus ensuring smooth presentation with improved display of images during the actions of setting the material in the camera-assisted presentation system.

  • Patent number: 6853495
Abstract: A wide-angle lens system having a long back focal length, disposed in front of a ?? CCD camera and the focal length (f) for all lens groups is 3.0 mm, the F-number is 3.0 and the half-field angle is 46°. The following conditions are met by the first lens group: 1?d/d3<1.2; R3/R2=0.99; and d2/f=0.03. Here, (d) indicates the thickness of the second lens along the normal line at a given distance from the optical axis within the maximum effective diameter of the object side convex surface of the lens. d3 is the thickness of the second lens along the optical axis.

  • Publication number: 20030133013
Abstract: A camera-assisted presentation apparatus, which is one of imaging apparatuses, has a table including a fixation member and two extension members, and a camera support assembly with a video camera attached to one end thereof. The two extension members are attached to the fixation member in a pivotally rotatable manner. In a service state of the camera-assisted presentation apparatus, the fixation member and the two extension members are extended to form one identical plane and ensure a wide area, on which a material for presentation is mounted. In a non-service state of the camera-assisted presentation apparatus, the two extension members are folded down to a camera holder member and an arm member of the camera support assembly. This arrangement significantly reduces the whole size of the camera-assisted presentation apparatus in its non-service state and effectively enhances the portability of the camera-assisted presentation apparatus.
