  • Patent number: 10388194
Abstract: A signage panel system comprises a panel element and a base element. The panel element has at least one tab formed on an edge and the tab including a slot formed therein. The base element including at least one channel formed therein wherein the channel is configured to receive the tab of the panel element when the panel element engages with the base element. A planar slide lock element fits into the tab slot of the panel element and slides in the tab slot. The channel has a wide section and a narrow section adjacent the wide section, the tab configured for engaging the channel with the slide lock element positioned in the wide section of the channel. The slide lock element sliding in the tab slot and in the channel to engage the narrow section and secure the panel element with the base element.

  • Patent number: 9576506
Abstract: A structure is configured to be flat in an unassembled position and to form a three-dimensional structure in an assembled position. The structure includes a plurality of adjacent panels coupled together along fold lines with each panel including a foam core covered on one surface by a flexible skin. The flexible skin is continuous between the adjacent panels that are coupled together for forming a respective fold line for the adjacent panels to be brought together at a right angle to each other along the fold line. The foam core of each panel includes a mitered surface along abutting edges to form a miter joint when adjacent panels are brought together. Slots are formed in the panel cores adjacent to mitered surfaces. Brackets span a miter joint between adjacent panels, holding the spanned miter joint and panels together in a three-dimensional structure.

  • Patent number: 8931231
Abstract: A panel mounting system and method of securing a panel to a vertical surface. The panel mounting system, which may be used in a point of sale (POS) display, includes a panel having a channel open to a rear surface of the panel. The channel has a top surface configured to engage a portion of a horizontal cleat and a bottom surface. A channel access opening allows a security cleat to be inserted into the channel through the rear surface of the panel. The security cleat is then repositioned laterally along the axis of the channel, thereby engaging the top and bottom surfaces of the channel and securing the horizontal cleat to the panel. The panel may be decoupled from the horizontal cleat by simply repositioning the security cleat to the channel access opening and removing the security cleat.

  • Patent number: 7152383
Abstract: A blind connection for joining foam core panels which comprise a central sheet of foamed resinous material having top and bottom rails and veneers bonded to opposite sides of the central sheet and the rails. The rails having abutting side edge faces with matching slots formed along the length of the side edges. Te slots have undercut retaining surfaces which are engaged by retaining surfaces formed on a joining member which is inserted into these slots in joining the panels in assembled relation. The use of modified joining members in connecting foam core panels that are in angled relation to each other is also described. Wear resistant retaining surfaces may be provided for slots in the foam core by solid polymer liners. Additionally a method customizing panels on an installation job site is provided through the use of portable electrically powered saw to cut a panel to a desired width and a portable electrically powered router to form and undercut slot for receiving a joining member.

  • Patent number: 6453633
Abstract: Light weight, foamed panels are suspended in spaced relation above the floor of an arena to create “privacy zones” which facilitate discussion and concentration on details. In the prior art, attachment of the panels to mounting rods was predicated on cementing wooden strips in the upper surface of the panel, in order to provide T-nuts, into which suspension rods are threaded. The improved installation employs a plurality of attaching members, each of which has a tubular body portion which is inserted through a vertically disposed hole in the foamed panel and an ornamental flange projecting laterally and underlying the bottom of the penal. Each tubular body portion has a threaded portion which is threaded onto a supporting rod. Torquing surfaces are provided on the attaching members to facilitate their being threaded onto the supporting rods.
