  • Publication number: 20080217452
Abstract: A jaw crusher having two jaws which define an upwardly open crushing chamber for receiving crushable material and a discharge opening between the lower ends of the jaws for discharging crushed material, the jaws being relatively movable so as to vary the size of the receiving chamber and thereby exert working and relieving actions on the crushable material and so that crushed material can be discharged via the discharge opening, and in which: a rotatable elongate member extends throughout at least a major part of the length L of the jaws, and is located at or near to the discharge opening so as to assist the gravity discharge of crushed material through the discharge opening, and/or to exert an impact/crushing action in conjunction with the working actions of the jaws.

  • Patent number: 7383957
Abstract: A screening finger assembly having a holder (19) and a set of generally parallel finger tines (16) spaced apart in a row and each mounted in cantilever manner in a respective mounting (20, 22) in the holder (19). Each tine (16) has an outboard end (17), and an inboard end (18) which is firmly clamped in the respective mounting (20, 22). The inboard end (18) of each tine (16) includes a tapered portion. Each mounting includes a mounting bush (20) which is securely mounted in position in the holder (19), and an intermediate load-absorbing sleeve (22) arranged internally of the bush (20) and having an internal surface corresponding in shape to the tapered portion (18) of the tine (16) which it receives. A fastening means (23, 24) moves the tapered portion (18) of the tine (16) axially into firm clamping engagement with the internal surface of the intermediate sleeve (22) to clamp the tine (16) in position.

  • Publication number: 20070170292
Abstract: A cone crusher is disclosed with a bowl having a concave liner, a head having a mantle and which is capable of carrying out gyratory movement within the bowl so that the concave liner and the mantle define a generally annular crushing space and cooperate to exert a crushing action on crushable material in such space, and a drive train coupled with the head and operative to apply gyratory movement thereto. The drive train includes an upright drive shaft, an eccentric mounted on, and arranged to be driven by the drive shaft. The head is mounted on the eccentric so that the head is driven to carry out gyratory movement within the bowl. A drive motor is coupled with a lower end of the drive shaft to present minimum obstacle to direct downward gravity discharge of crushed material from the crushing space defined between the concave liner and the mantle.

  • Patent number: 6957822
Abstract: A tractor unit/trailer combination which is capable of carrying out suspended transport of a heavy duty piece of equipment, with the equipment being coupled at its forward end to the tractor unit and at its rear end to the trailer, and in such a way that the equipment remains suspended above the ground while at the same time forming an articulated connection between the tractor unit and the trailer. The tractor unit has a fifth wheel coupling to which the forward end of the piece of equipment can be coupled. The trailer has an inclined support ramp on which the rear end of the piece of equipment can be supported. A coupling plate is provided which is able to couple the forward end of the piece of equipment to the fifth wheel coupling. Upon uncoupling of the piece of equipment from the tractor unit and the trailer, when it has reached its destination, the trailer can then be coupled directly to the tractor unit so as to form a tractor unit/combination.

  • Patent number: 5044484
Abstract: There is disclosed an endless conveyor elevator with a foldable support frame, and which has a chassi (3), a tail conveyor section (1) pivotally connected at its tail end (2) to the chassis (3) and pivotally connected at its other end (4) to the lower end of an intermediate conveyor section (5). The upper end (6) of the intermediate conveyor section (5) is pivotally connected to one end of a head conveyor section (7). An actuator (12) is coupled with the conveyor sections to move them between an inoperative folded position, as shown in FIG. 1, to an unfolded rectilinear working position shown in FIG. 2. This movement of the conveyor sections between the inoperative and working positions is achieved by the geometry of the conveyor sections and that of a link member (9) which interconnects the chassis (3) and the head conveyor section (7).
