  • Patent number: 8432225
Abstract: This document discusses, among other things, a system and method for receiving an input signal and power supply information, and amplifying the input signal by a gain value determined as a function of the power supply information.

  • Patent number: 7705397
Abstract: A DMOS transistor is fabricated with its source/body/deep body regions formed on the walls of a first set of trenches, and its drain regions formed on the walls of a different set of trenches. A gate region that is formed in a yet another set of trenches can be biased to allow carriers to flow from the source to the drain. Lateral current low from source/body regions on trench walls increases the active channel perimeter to a value well above the amount that would be present if the device was fabricated on just the surface of the wafer. Masking is avoided while open trenches are present. A transistor with a very low on-resistance per unit area is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6741289
Abstract: A technique to stabilize subcarrier generation in a line-locked digital video system, caused by simultaneous locking of the genlock device causing continuous changing of a shared clock signal, by calculating a time shift occurring in an output waveform, converting the time shift into an equivalent phase shift and sending a corresponding phase correction number to a waveform generator block to correct the time shift, and thus stabilize subcarrier generation.

  • Patent number: 6646329
Abstract: A packaging arrangement for a semiconductor device including a leadframe and a die coupled thereto. The die is coupled to the leadframe such that its back surface (drain area) is coplanar with source leads and a gate lead extending from the leadframe. A stiffener is coupled to the leadframe and electrically isolated therefrom in order to help maintain the position of the source and gate pads of the leadframe. When the semiconductor device is coupled to a printed circuit board (PCB), the exposed surface of the die serves as the direct drain connections while the source leads and gate leads serve as the connections for the source and gate regions of the die.

  • Patent number: 6556249
Abstract: A method and apparatus for compensating for time base or phase errors in video and audio signals that are separately stored or processed. A ring oscillator provides a plurality of clock signals, each having a same frequency and slightly different phase. Each of the clock signals is applied to a multiplexor for allowing an appropriate one of the clock signals to be selected. By selecting appropriate ones of the clock signals in a sequence, the frequency and phase of an output clock signal formed by the multiplexor can be continuously and precisely controlled. Sync pulses separated from a video signal having a varying time base are applied to a video timing generator circuit which generates a series of digital values representative of timing differences between an expected occurrence of a sync pulse and an actual occurrence of the sync pulse. A phase accumulator accumulates the digital values over time for generating appropriate addresses for the multiplexor.
