Abstract: A method and system are presented for providing communication between users over a communication network. A database is provided which comprises verified data relating to identity of a plurality of individuals. The database is accessible through the network. The verified data allows for authenticating the identity of the individuals. One or more levels of permitted communications between individuals in said database and the user are defined on the basis of said verification.
Abstract: A system and method are presented for managing and using (e.g. for commercial or medical use) of a database. A verified database of a plurality of identified individuals is provided. The verified database comprises a plurality of individual-identifier data sets (IDSs) and relationship data. The verified database is processed in accordance with one or more parameters or conditions selected in accordance with at least one medical application, and a sub-group database is created including data records of the individuals from the verified database having said one or more selected parameters or conditions. This allows collection of data comprising the one or more selected parameters or conditions and delivery of at least part of the collected data to one or more users, and enables applying data from the verified database to provide personalized medicine service to at least one of the identified individuals.
Abstract: A system and method are presented for identifying a suitable tissue donor for an intended tissue recipient. A database of individuals is provided that comprises, for each individual, genetic data parameters comprising hereditary parameters that play a role in tissue-typing for matching between donor and recipient and comprises genealogical data for a plurality of individuals including at least some of said individuals for whom the genetic data is provided in the database. A recipient tissue type (RTT) is determined for the intended tissue recipient. The database is searched for one or more individuals that have a degree of similarity to the RTT that satisfy predetermined criteria to thereby identify one or more pivot individuals. A search is conducted for a target group of target individuals that includes the pivot individuals and individuals that are genetically related to the pivot individuals, and output data indicative of search results is generated.
