Patents Assigned to Federal Equipment Company
  • Patent number: 10435273
Abstract: A braking system and method for an apparatus or vehicle moved along a pathway by an apparatus drive mechanism, for halting the movement of the apparatus or vehicle in the event that the drive mechanism loses power or malfunctions. A conveyance system includes a pathway, an moving apparatus moving along the pathway, the apparatus drive mechanism, a brake rail along the pathway having along one edge a multiplicity of regularly spaced teeth with gaps between successive teeth, and a brake device mounted securely to the apparatus. The brake device includes a rotatably driven rotor having outer helical threads for running the gaps in the brake rail with successive turns of the driven rotor without touching the teeth.

  • Patent number: 5148712
Abstract: A deflator for monitoring and selectively or simultaneously deflating an inflated item, such as a basketball, includes a body configured with a central passageway, a first end, a second end and at least one side, each having a bore disposed so as to be in fluid communication with the central passageway. The deflator includes a measuring gauge for measuring the pressure of the inflated item and operationally secured to the body to be in fluid communication with the central passageway, an insertion needle for insertion into the inflated item, which is connected to the body and is in fluid communication with the central passageway, and a valve connected to the body portion, which is in fluid communication with the central passageway for selectively deflating the inflated item.

  • Patent number: 4609096
Abstract: A loader/unloader assembly for use with a vertical tiltable platform stores conveyor having a horizontal load position, a vertical stowed position and an intermediate inclined unload position. The load platform contains guide pins cooperating with a race track-shaped guide groove for selectably positioning the load platform in the three positions. When the load platform is in the unload position, a spring biased camming plate prevents displacement of one of the guide pins except upon application of a predetermined downward force to the load platform which serves to move the camming plate to an inhibit position and activate a switch to disconnect power from the conveyor system and stop conveyor movement. The force necessary to trigger the inhibit action may be selectably adjusted on the loader/unloader assembly.
