The air chamber is connected to the environment by a switchable intake valve or a non-return valve, depending on the operating state of a supported engine.

A vacant vibration space is formed for the vibration damper weight between the gas inflator and the interior wall of the spacer pot or protective sleeve. The spring element is provided with a plurality of elastic projections that are distributed on the exterior periphery of the spring element. The projections cause a defined deceleration of the vibration weight in response to the traversing of the vacant vibration space.
