  • Patent number: 8099924
Abstract: A panel, in particular a floor panel, includes a core of a wood material or wood material/plastic mixture. The panel includes a top side and an underside. The panel has a profile corresponding to one another on at least two side edges (I, II) lying opposite one another, such that two identically embodied panels can be joined and locked to one another through an essentially vertical joining movement in the horizontal and vertical direction. The locking in the horizontal direction can be effected by a hook connection with an upper locking section having a hook element and a lower locking section having a hook element. The locking in the vertical direction can be effected by at least one spring element that can be moved in the horizontal direction. During the joining movement the at least one spring element snaps in behind a locking edge extending essentially in the horizontal direction.

  • Publication number: 20110258959
Abstract: A panel, in particular a floor panel, with a core consists of a wood material or a wood material-plastic mixture. A top side and a bottom side are provided. The panel has on a first lateral edge a lower locking element, which includes a first arm that is arranged on the bottom side of the panel and that projects over the first lateral edge. A first hook element with an undercut is arranged on an outer end of the first arm. The panel has on a second lateral edge that is opposite to the first lateral edge an upper locking element with a second arm that is arranged on the top side of the panel and that projects over the second lateral edge. A second hook element, which has at least one locking nose, is arranged on an outer end of the second arm, such that two identically designed panels can be connected and locked to one another in the horizontal direction and in the vertical direction after the locking nose of one panel is snapped into the undercut of a second panel.

  • Patent number: 7980039
Abstract: A device for connecting and locking two building boards, in particular floor panels, on their longitudinal sides and/or transverse sides in the horizontal and vertical direction through an essentially vertical joining movement. The building boards have a top side and an underside. On their lateral edges to be connected to one another are provided with profiles corresponding to one another. A locking element with a locking projection is provided in the profile of the first building board. The locking projection interacts with a locking depression provided in the profile of the second building board such that the two building boards are automatically locked in the vertical direction with the joining movement. The locking element is embodied in an essentially rigid manner and the locking projection can be brought into the locking depression through a rotary motion of the locking element.

  • Publication number: 20110094178
Abstract: A panel, especially floor panel comprises a core produced of a wood product or a mixture of a wood product/synthetic material. The panel includes a top and a bottom, and is provided with mating hook elements on at least two opposite lateral edges thereof. The first hook element is formed by a profiled section which is essentially open to the top and the second hook element is formed by a profiled section which is essentially open to the bottom. The profiled section on the first hook element forms a projection which is essentially facing the top and on the second hook element forms a projection which is essentially open to the bottom. Two identical panels can be interconnected and interlocked by an essentially vertical joining movement in the horizontal and the vertical direction. At least one of the projections is deviated during the joining movement in the horizontal direction and then snaps into a locking edge which extends essentially in the horizontal direction to vertically lock the panels.

  • Publication number: 20110016822
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for laying floor panels (1.n, 2.n, . . . ) in a room to form a closed floor area on a laying plane (Ev) without using an adhesive, said floor panels especially consisting of a wood material, such as MDF or HDF, and having matching corresponding profiles on opposite longitudinal edges (I, I?) and transverse edges (II, II?). The closed floor area is obtained by interconnecting a plurality of panels (1.1, 1.2 . . . 2.1, 2.2, . . . ) on their transverse edges (II, II?) to give a row (R3) and on their longitudinal edges (I, I?) to give a plurality of rows (Ro) and then locking them in relation to each other.

  • Patent number: 7562431
Abstract: A method for placing a locking element that forms the spring of a board that is provided with a spring/groove profiling, in particular, a floor panel, in a first groove that is present on one of the lateral edges of the board, where the locking element displays locking means with whose help two boards, connected via the spring/groove, can be locked together laterally with respect to the direction of connection. The method includes transporting the board and locking element at the same speed parallel to each other along a transport distance in a transport direction (T). During the transport, the locking element runs laterally along a fixed device that constantly narrows the transport distance in the direction of transport (T). By means of the device, the locking element is constantly and increasingly shifted laterally with respect to the direction of transport (T) until in the process.
