  • Patent number: 10724331
Abstract: A system and method for fracturing a well can comprise a base pipe comprising an insert port capable of housing a stop ball partially within the chamber of it, and a sliding sleeve. The sliding sleeve can comprise a first sleeve with an in inner surface. That inner surface can comprise a void. The first sleeve can be maneuverable into two positions. In the first position, the void can rest on a surface of the base pipe not comprising an insert port. Such positioning can prevent a stop ball from exiting the chamber of the base pipe. In the second position, the void can rest over an insert port. Such positioning can allow the stop ball to the chamber of the base pipe and to enter the void.

  • Patent number: 10208581
Abstract: A system and method for detecting screen-out using a fracturing valve for mitigation, wherein the fracture method can comprise fracturing a well using a fracturing valve, while a downhole pressure is less than a predetermined threshold. The method can also comprise actuating by automated process the fracturing valve from a fracturing position to a nonfracturing position upon detecting by a pressure sensor in the wellbore that the downhole pressure has reached the predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 10208565
Abstract: This disclosure relates to system and method for delaying actuation using a destructible impedance device. In one embodiment, a delayed actuating system can comprise a base pipe comprising a first portion of an orifice, a sliding sleeve around the base pipe, the sliding sleeve comprising a second portion of said orifice, further said sliding sleeve maneuverable into a first position, wherein said first portion of said orifice rests at least partially over said second portion of said orifice, a second position, a distance away from said second position. Further, the delayed actuating system can comprise a biasing device biasing the sliding sleeve toward the second position, and a destructible impedance device at least partially in side said orifice, the destructible impedance device preventing the sliding sleeve from leaving the first position.

  • Patent number: 9428993
Abstract: Described herein is a system and method for controlling flow in a pipe string using a finger valve. Specifically, the disclosure describes a finger valve comprising a base pipe and a sliding sleeve. The base pipe can comprise a finger port, one or more fingers; and one or more hinges, each of the hinges connecting one of the fingers to the base pipe. The sliding sleeve can comprise a sliding sleeve having a first sleeve with in inner surface comprising a void and a depressor. The first sleeve can be positionable in a first position and a second position. In the first position, the depressor can push the one or more fingers into a closed position. In the second position, the void can rest at least one of the one or more fingers, allowing the at least one of the one or more fingers to move into an open position.

  • Patent number: 8997555
Abstract: A system and method for generating a change in pressure proportional to fluid viscosity is disclosed herein. The system can comprise a first pilot stream, a second pilot stream, and a pressure sensing device that reads a differential pressure across a first junction on the first pilot stream and a second junction on the second pilot stream. The first junction is between a first section having a first predominant pressure loss characteristic, and a second section having a second predominant pressure loss characteristic. Similarly, the second junction can be between a third section having a third predominant pressure loss characteristic and a fourth section having a fourth pressure loss characteristic.
