    Abstract: A hollow magnetic member includes a plurality of separate magnetic pieces. A parting surface between such pieces is defined by a plane parallel to or defining an angle of not more than forty-five (45) degrees with a center axis of the magnetic member. A holder for supporting a polarizer has such a cross section defined by a part of a cylinder cut away along a plane parallel to or defining an angle of not more than forty-five (45) degrees with the center axis thereof. A notched portion is formed in a cutting surface for containing the polarizer. A jig for assembly includes a base for holding the holder and a plate for positioning optical elements such as the polarizer. The holder is disposed in a recess in the base with the notched portion directed upward. A bonding material is applied to the notched portion prior to installation of the polarizer. The plate is placed on the base by inserting pins through holes, and then a screw is engaged with a tapped hole.

    Abstract: A plurality of dielectric sheets are laminated and bonded together to constitute a laminated board. A plurality of strip-shaped resonance electrodes are formed in parallel on a predetermined bonding face of the dielectric sheets, and the strip-shaped resonance electrodes reach opposite edges of the laminated board. Recesses are formed by locally cutting out the portions of the edges of the laminated board in which the respective resonance electrodes are exposed at their particular ends. Grounding electrodes are respectively formed on the obverse and reverse faces of the laminated board, and edge grounding electrodes are formed in the portions of the opposite edges of the laminated board except for the recess.

    Abstract: In a laminated dielectric resonator and filter having a folded microstrip line type resonator structure, an internal-to-external grounding conductor distance within which an open-end-side internal conductor pattern is disposed is selected to be shorter than an internal-to-external grounding conductor distance within which a short-circuit-side internal conductor pattern is disposed. In this constitution, since the front end of the resonator structure is loaded with a capacity, the resonance frequency is lowered so that it is possible to provide a resonator having a reduced longitudinal resonator size with respect to the same resonance frequency. In addition, since the resonator has no steps, manufacture and mounting are easy. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the sizes of the laminated dielectric resonator and filter to a further extent, whereby it is possible to reduce a resonator or filter mounting area in a device.

    Abstract: The distance between a D-roll and a C-roll is switched at proper time intervals between two stages in which the distance is larger or smaller. A thicker coating layer on the C-roll with the thickness controlled by the larger distance between the D-roll and the C-roll is transferred onto a base sheet in a condition in which the C-roll and a B-roll are in contact with each other with the base sheet interposed therebetween. The distance between the C-roll and the B-roll is increased when a thinner coating layer on the C-roll with the thickness controlled by the smaller distance between the D-roll and the C-roll reaches a transfer position, so that the coating layer is not transferred onto the base sheet. A local increase of the amount of the coating material applied at the end of a coating area can be prevented, and the thickness of the coating material applied can be controlled to be constant with high accuracy over the entire coated area.
