Abstract: A sound insulator, including an assembly of connected particles, wherein the connected particles include particles adjacent to one another that are adhered to one another. The particles that are adhered to one another include particles of random shapes and random sizes and having respective diameters falling within a range from about a quarter of a millimeter to about four millimeters. The particles that are adhered to one another are adhered such that they form a sound suppression blanket.
Abstract: The disclosed power system may comprise first and second batteries; an electrical power generator; an electrical load powered by at least one of the first battery, the second battery or the electrical power generator; a converter; and a battery management controller. The converter is connected to both the first and second batteries and configured to operate in a neutral mode, a first battery charging mode, or a second battery charging mode. The converter is configured to create a voltage difference between the first and second batteries in the charging modes. The battery management controller is configured to monitor the voltage of the first battery and the voltage of the second battery and/or to monitor current flow to and from the first and second batteries. The controller controls operation of the converter to operate in the neutral mode, the first battery charging mode or the second battery charging mode.

Abstract: A power distribution system comprises a DC bus supplied by an electrical generator and a resistive load connected to the DC bus. A switching device connects to the DC bus and the load and is configured to periodically open the circuit between the resistive load and the DC bus for a reoccurring period of time. The switching device senses the load on the DC bus and changes the length of the period of time based on the sensed voltage.

Abstract: An HVAC system for a vehicle. The HVAC system includes a battery management controller, which can be used to run the components of the HVAC system when the engine of the vehicle is not running.
Abstract: An integrated blower and motor is provided. The integrated blower and motor can include a rotor and a stator, wherein the rotor is disposed with a central bore of the stator. The integrated blower and motor includes a fan, wherein the fan can be attached to the rotor. According to the embodiments described herein, an integrated blower and motor is provided that is compact and uses less space.
Abstract: A boat hull is described that includes a plurality of features to improve stability and tracking. Any one or more of the features can be provided in a watercraft having displacement and planing characteristics. The hull features improve tracking and stability of the hull when in displacement mode and planing mode.
