  • Patent number: 9510608
Abstract: A new method for making an air-containing mixture introduces air into a viscous mass of raw mixture for forming the air-containing mixture. The introduction of air is performed in connection with introducing the mixture in a treating unit. The raw mixture is pumped under pressure through a nozzle for forming at least one jet which is sprayed through an air space against the surface of the mixture. Air is entrained in the jet of the mixture. The air-entraining jet enters the mixture, forming the air-containing mixture. The air-containing mixture formed thereby is subsequently introduced into the treatment unit.

  • Publication number: 20160021911
Abstract: A filling unit and a method for filling a confectionery mass into a container or a mold includes a fill housing with a filling nozzle (2) and at least two dosing pistons in a cylinder which is connected to the fill housing. In the fill housing, a valve is arranged for each cylinder. A mixing block with internal ducts connects each of the outlets with a respective internal duct in the filling nozzle. The confectionery mass is conducted from a filling nozzle into at least one of the cylinders after which the confectionery mass is dosed down into the mold or container by actuating the dosing pistons. The speeds of the pistons are controlled independently of each other, providing varying patterns in longitudinal direction of the ice-cream/confectionery product. The movement of the filling unit relative to the container or mold can be varied providing additional options for variation in patterns.

  • Patent number: 8763420
Abstract: The present invention concerns a freezer segment for a freezer of the type used for casting confectionery in molds which are cooled for freezing and subsequently supplied with heat for a short period, whereafter stripping occurs. Cooling of the molds is effected by using direct evaporation of CO2. The advantage of such a freezer segment is that there is no use for both a primary and a secondary cooling circuit. Another advantage in using a system according to the invention is that working with temperatures down to about minus 50° C. is enabled, compared to about minus 40° C. with brine systems. The low freezing temperature entails that the capacity of a given system is increased by about 40%.

  • Patent number: 7270843
Abstract: A device and a method used when coating a wafer is described. The fluid coating is provided by an inside coating as well as an edge coating. The fluid chocolate in a container is stirred by displacing a vat up and down. During this displacement, the vat will be brought in contact with the wafer, so the chocolate substance, which is provided in there, provides an edge coating. Displacement of the first vat provides a repression of the chocolate substance, which through a nozzle is injected into the wafer in order to provide an inside coating. By repression, a pumping occurs, which is interrupted substantially simultaneously with the edge of the wafer getting in contact with the surface of the chocolate in vat, when it is elevated up towards the wafer, which is suspended in a commonly known apron conveyor (not shown).

  • Patent number: 7005151
Abstract: There is described an apparatus (1) that may be used for providing ice lollies (2) with a coating from a dipping container (4). The coating mix (3) comprises almond flakes (16) and fluid chocolate (10) which is inserted in a third area (38). Displacement bodies (25) are lifted and lowered into first areas (28) while the ice lolly (2) is lowered in a central second area (20). The lowering occurs when the displacement means are completely down whereby a well-defined surface level (23) is achieved by using level plates (21). The movement of the displacement means (25) creates sufficient stirring and flow in flow ducts (36, 43) in order to ensure homogenisation of the coating mix (3) situated in the central second area (20) where the ice lollies (2) are coated.

  • Patent number: 6945067
Abstract: There is disclosed an ice cream freezer comprising a system (1) including a freezer pipe (8) and a cooling system (9), a pipe system I is used for introducing ingredients by means of an introducing pump (1). A pipe system (U) is used for removing finished ice cream by means of a motor (10). There are provided indicators (4, 6) for recording parameters such as pressure temperature flow. In order to provide a situation where condensate dripping which may damage sensitive parts, and which at the same time is service and cleaning friendly, the freezer pipe (8) is placed under the other elements. The cooling system is placed in immediate vicinity of the freezer pipe (8). By this disposition, dripping due to condensate on freezer pipe/cooling system may only drip down on the floor and not onto sensitive components. Possible leakage in the ingredient pipe system I may only drip on freezer pipes that can stand flushing.
