Abstract: A method of providing a dam in a loading coil case for the blocking of an encapsulant solutions penetration into the cable beyond a desired distance by inserting, via a hypodermic needle, a quantity of encapsulant activator at the desired site of a dam. The encapsulant upon contacting the activator jells very rapidly preventing the remaining encapsulant from draining into the cable.
Abstract: A circuit which controls the selection and activation of one of a plurality of clock circuits arranged in copies. Selection circuitry is used to detect failure of an on-line clock circuit, scan a plurality of available clock circuits in a predetermined sequence and place the next available properly operating clock circuit on line. Control circuitry prevents erroneous clock selection during power-up/power down operations and enables predetermined clock circuit copies to be disabled.

Abstract: A bus interchange circuit for use with a microprocessor. Timing, gating, sequencing and storage circuitry provide an interface between a microprocessor and external systems requesting control of the microprocessor's busses.
Abstract: A pulse monitor circuit which detects pulse failures through use of a detection circuit and a storage circuit. The detection circuit detects failure of the monitored pulses after being periodically reset by an external reference pulse train. The storage circuit is clocked by the reference pulses and operates to store the output signals of the detection circuit. Upon detection of a pulse failure to monitor can be cleared by external control or detection of a monitored pulse.
Abstract: A power supply packaging arrangement which utilizes transformer as the main structural component. Side panels of the package are connected to the transformer. These panels support the transformer, additional power supply circuitry and the top, front and rear sides of the package.
Abstract: A printed wiring card stiffener bracket comprised of a single piece frame and having slotted tab and fastener arrangements for securing the stiffener bracket to the printed wiring card. The stiffener bracket includes blade arms which bear against the printed wiring card preventing distortion and warpage of the card and assisting in the insertion of the card in a card file. A cover interlockingly engages tabs on the stiffener bracket providing protection to the underlying components and added rigidity to the stiffener bracket.
Abstract: The arrangement described herein provides for simple control and minimal program impact of a central office switching system for interfacing multiple custom calls. This arrangement employs a few simple trunks connected in a loop around configuration. The arrangement shown considers the connection of a telephone subscriber to a call waiting subscriber who is already engaged in another custom calling subscriber's call waiting call.
Abstract: The arrangement described herein provides for simple control and minimal program impact of a central office switching system for interfacing multiple custom calls. This arrangement employs a few simple trunks connected in a loop around configuration. The arrangement shown considers the establishment of a three way call by a three way calling subscriber who is already engaged as a non-control party in another custom calling subscriber's call waiting call.
Abstract: A pulse monitor circuit which detects failure of a monitored pulse by monitoring its expected occurrence during time intervals defined by an external reference pulse train. Failure of the reference pulse train is detected by monitoring its expected occurrence during time intervals derived from the monitored pulse train. Detection circuits are used to detect failure of the pulse trains and storage circuits, which can be cleared by external control or reappearance of the monitored pulse.
Abstract: The arrangement described herein provides for simple control and minimal program impact of a central office switching system for interfacing multiple custom calls. This arrangement employs a few simple trunks connected in a loop around configuration. The arrangement shown considers the connection of a three way calling subscriber to a call waiting subscriber who is actively engaged in a prior telephone call.
Abstract: The arrangement described herein provides for simple control and minimal program impact of a central office switching system for interfacing multiple custom calls. This arrangement employs a few simple trunks connected in a loop around configuration. The arrangement shown considers the connection of a three way calling subscriber, who is a non-control party in a second custom caller's three way call, to another telephone subscriber.
Abstract: A low voltage protection which prevents an associated circuit from generating erroneous signals during power-up, power-down or power failure conditions. A voltage comparison circuit, powered by a first power supply, detects low voltage conditions in a second power supply and causes a switching circuit to inhibit control and power signals of the associated circuit.
Abstract: A system for distributing signals from an audio source to key telephone station instruments is disclosed. By controlling the impedance relationship between the station instruments, lines and amplifier output, cross-feeding of signals from one station instrument to another or back-feeding of signals to the audio source is prevented.
Abstract: A pulse toggle monitor circuit which detects toggling of a monitored pulse. A plurality of detection circuits are connected in a shift register manner. This arrangement provides for detection of pulse toggling of a duration longer than a predetermined time as defined by the period of an external reference signal and the number of detection circuits. The output of the shift register is connected to a storage circuit which is clocked by the reference signal and operates to store failure signals from the shift register. The storage circuit can be cleared either by external control or detection of a valid pulse.
Abstract: A printed wiring card stiffener bracket including a handle portion and a stiffener frame portion having novel slotted tab and fastener arrangements for securing the stiffener bracket to the printed wiring card. The stiffener frame portion includes blade arms which bear against the printed wiring card preventing distortion and warpage of the card and assisting in the insertion of the card in a card file.
