  • Patent number: 8104111
Abstract: A shower device is proposed that features a fixed-installation housing. This housing can, for example, stand up from the floor and may extend beyond normal human body size. The housing is fitted with a shower arm that can be moved out of an inactive position. In the inactive position, the surface of the shower arm lies flush with the surface of the housing. The jet discharge area of a shower head arranged in the shower arm faces inwards, so that it is only possible to see a flat surface on the exterior of the housing. Through pressure on this surface, a catch mechanism is released and this causes the shower arm to move out of the housing. This is accomplished via a drive mechanism, which may feature a spring, for example. Extension is performed at a relatively slow speed, which can be achieved using a damper device. The shower arm moves to a position in which the now-visible jet discharge disc of the shower head can be used as an overhead shower.

  • Patent number: 8091929
Abstract: A feed-through for a shower hose contains in the feed-through a securing mechanism, which is configured such that it definitely allows the hose to be pulled out, yet prevents it from being pulled back. In order to release the securing mechanism, a second tug is made on the hose, so that, when it is next pulled back, it can then be pulled inward through the feed-through.

  • Patent number: 8047457
Abstract: The invention relates to a jet outlet element for a sanitary fitting which allows outlet of a defined gushing jet from the sanitary fitting. The sanitary outlet element is configured as a flat element having two compartments, a water inlet compartment and a water outlet compartment. A narrowed section is interposed between the two compartments and accommodates a flow rectifier. Said flow rectifier rectifies the as yet non-directional flow of the water in the inlet compartment and guides it in a controlled manner to the outlet compartment from where it emerges through the slotted outlet opening.

  • Patent number: 8015632
Abstract: A wall mounting for a shower is mounted such as to pivot about a horizontal axis at the end thereof against the wall (1). The arm (5) has a fork at the separation from the fixing end. A clamp holder is provided in the region of the front end thereof in which a shower head (8) can be introduced. The fixing between the shower head (8) and the mounting is made by a friction connection, whereby the housing of the shower head is embodied such that it cannot be recognized from the form thereof that said housing serves for fixing.

  • Patent number: 8011100
Abstract: In a method for producing plastic sanitary articles having surfaces metallized by electroplating, the sanitary article has at least one electrically nonconductive component, before said article is metallized by electroplating using an external current source. This component at least partially decouples the water-bearing regions of the sanitary article from the current flow during metallization by electroplating using the external current source. The component is preferably a separate component which can be reversibly connected to the sanitary article. The invention also includes the component for decoupling the current itself, and a sanitary article which is provided with the component.

  • Publication number: 20110209781
Abstract: A sanitary fitting (1) has a housing (2), an outlet (3) and functional parts (4) for carrying water. In this case, the outlet (3) is formed on the housing (2) or is connected or can be connected to the housing (2). The functional parts (4) are preferably arranged inside the housing (2). In the case of this sanitary fitting, as claimed in the invention the outlet (3) is substantially free from water-carrying functional parts (4), and at least the outlet (3) and preferably also the housing (2) are produced substantially completely from glass.

  • Patent number: 7946512
Abstract: A shower head for a hand-held shower attachment contains, in the center of its jet disc, an insert with three individual nozzle bodies. Each individual nozzle body is designed for discharging an individual jet. To this end, it has a continuous jet opening. Each of these in individual nozzle bodies is mounted in a manner that enables it to move relative to the shower head and to the jet disc, and is placed in rotation by a water-driven rotor. Said continuous jet opening extends at an angle to the rotation axis of the individual nozzle body. When the individual nozzle body rotates, the jet exiting there from moves on an envelope of a cone. Each individual nozzle body, contains an aerating device that aspirates the air immediately next to the outlet opening and, inside the individual nozzle body, mixes the air with the water entering this individual nozzle body. As a result, the individual nozzle body discharges an aerated jet.

  • Patent number: 7919147
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for coating objects, particularly plumbing fixtures, having metallic surfaces. According to the method, at least one organosilane is applied during the so-called sol-gel process after an optionally provided pretreatment step that serves to activate the metallic surfaces, and the coating obtained thereby is transformed into a polysiloxane coating. This transformation of the coating into a polysiloxane coating preferably ensues by a thermal treatment effected at temperatures of <100° C., preferably <70° C.
