    Abstract: In a connector with a locking mechanism an insulator body having contact pins is disposed in a cylindrical metal cover having a tongue formed integrally therewith by cutting a U-shaped groove in its forward portion. The tongue has in its front end portion a radially outward protrusion for locking use formed integrally therewith. An elastic piece is slidably disposed in contact with the underside of the tongue, the rear end portion of the elastic piece projecting out of the metal cover through a slot made therein and coupled as a unitary structure with a drive member mounted on the outside of the metal cover. The rear end portion of the metal cover is covered with a metal shell, and a coiled spring is interposed between the metal shell and the drive member, thereby biasing the elastic piece forwardly. A cable connected to the contact pins is led out through the metal shell, and a bush of a synthetic resin material is formed on the rear end portion of the shell and the adjoining portion of the cable.

    Abstract: A telephone connector in which a contact holder carrying a plurality of contacts is disposed in a body which has in its front a plug receiving hole and is open at its bottom. Mounting members for mounting the body on a printed circuit board are provided on both side panels of the body. The mounting members define the plane in which the body is mounted on the printed circuit board. Lower end faces of both side panels of the body are substantially flush with this plane. After terminals of the contacts have been automatically soldered to the printed circuit board, the open bottom of the body is closed by a separately prepared cover.

    Abstract: A slide switch is coupled with a connector socket which is capable of firmly gripping a plug inserted thereinto and in which a resilient tubular metal cover having a slit in its axial direction is fitted in an annular groove cut in a socket body. An actuator formed integrally with and extending from a holder carrying a movable contact piece is disposed in a main positioning groove which extend across and in parallel to the annular groove. The actuator is driven by inserting a plug into the pulling it out of the socket body, by which the connection of the slide switch is changed over.

    Abstract: A hook switch has a box-shaped body an an open end. Within the box-shaped body there is fixed at least one contact piece, and extending from the box-shaped body is an arm on which an actuator is rotatably mounted. A slider is received within the box-shaped body. This slider has a spring biased protrusion with a spherical top which extends through a hole in a cover of the box-shaped body and is engaged by the actuator and displaced against the spring bias. In the process, a movable contact piece mounted on the slider engages a corresponding fixed contact piece mounted within the box-shaped body.

    Abstract: A liquid-crystal cell is formed with first and second transparent substrates opposing each other and a liquid crystal sealed therebetween. A plurality of display electrodes are formed in a matrix arrangement with rows and columns on the inner surface of said first transparent substrate. Gate bus lines are formed on the first transparent substrate along the respective rows of display electrodes. Source bus lines are formed on the first transparent substrate along the respective columns of display electrodes. Thin-film transistors are formed on the first transparent substrate at the intersections of a gate and source bus lines. The thin-film transistors each have a gate electrode connected to the associated gate bus line, a source electrode connected to the associated source bus line and the drain electrode connected to the corresponding display electrode. A common electrode is formed on the second transparent substrate such that it faces the display electrodes.

    Abstract: A color liquid crystal display device comprises first and second transparent substrates, and a liquid crystal sealed therebetween. A plurality of display electrodes and thin film transistors each connected to each of the display electrodes are formed on the first transparent substrate. Color filters are formed on the second transparent substrate such that they each face each of the display electrodes. A common electrode is also formed over the entire surface of the second transparent electrode. The gap between adjacent color filters is closed by a metal layer capable of blocking light. These light-blocking layers overlie the common electrode in contact therewith.

    Abstract: A membrane switch sheet is disposed on a base plate and an adhesive layer is formed all over the membrane switch sheet. A positioning sheet, which has positioning holes respectively corresponding to membrane switches arranged on the membrane switch sheet, is disposed on the adhesive layer, and a tact plate having a normally upward curved portion is bonded to the adhesive layer in each positioning hole. A mounting plate is disposed on the positioning sheet at a distance therefrom. The mounting plate has a sleeve at a position corresponding to each tact plate. A stem is slidably received in the sleeve. The stem is capped with a key top formed integrally therewith. An acutating coiled spring is fixed at one end and engaged at the other end with the tact plate. When the key top is depressed, the coiled spring presses down the corresponding membrane switch through the tact plate, turning on the switch.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a connector for use in electrically connecting a ROM or IC card, or the like card to a main printed circuit board of an apparatus. In the connector, a movable member is mounted which causes a contact of the card to be resiliently contacted by a contact of a contactor portion connected to the main printed circuit board when the card is inserted a specified degree, and which causes the contact of the contactor portion to move away from the card a distance greater than the thickness of the card when the card is withdrawn. This arrangement involves no troublesome operation in connection with the expansion and contraction control of the contactor portion and can effectively prevent possible wear and deterioration of the contacts.

The cable clamper is fitted in and fixed to the rear end portion of a tubular shielding member made of metal and the square-shaped body is fitted in and fixed to the front end portion of the shielding member.
