Abstract: Disclosed herein are aspects of expandable interbody devices having an unobstructed graft material containment space. Such expandable interbody devices have a structure in which an overall plan view area of the graft material containment space is devoid of elements of the expandable interbody device enabling adjustment of the expandable interbody devices between a collapsed configuration and displaced configuration (e.g., an expanded configuration and/or a tilted configuration). In this manner, expandable interbody devices configured in accordance with embodiments of the disclosures made herein do not have obstructions within the graft material containment space thereof that limit the available volume of graft material and associated bony material growth that may be contained within the graft material containment space.
Abstract: An interbody fusion device is provided that includes an interbody cage, a fixation system and an actuation mechanism to deploy one or more blades. The cage acts as an intervertebral spacer and provides resistance to the compressive loads in the spinal column. The fixation system includes an anchor and a ramp. These components could be manufactured from various medical grade materials.

Abstract: A spinal interbody device is provided having a cage and an anchor. The cage includes a center portion with a first surface and a second surface. A first arm and a second arm extend from the center portion with the first arm having a pair of first projections and the second arm having a pair of second projections. The pair of first projections and the pair of second projections are disposed on opposing sides of an open side. The anchor includes a blade that is movable between a first position and a second position. The blade is disposed to engage the first surface and deflect as the anchor is moved from the first position to the second position. Wherein the blade is at least partially disposed between one of the pair of first projections and the center portion when the anchor is in the second position.
