Abstract: An image classification apparatus and method for Automatic White Balance (AWB) are provided. An input image is divided into blocks including pluralities of pixels. A hue value and a chroma value are calculated for each of the blocks. A color-changed block is detected by calculating, for each one of the blocks, differences between the hue and chroma values calculated for all blocks adjacent to the one of the blocks and the hue and chroma values calculated for the one of the blocks. A hue variance and a chroma variance are calculated for the entire input image if a number of the detected color-changed blocks is greater than or equal to a first threshold. The input image is determined as a non-monochromatic image, if the hue variance is greater than or equal to a second threshold or the chroma variance is greater than or equal to a third threshold.

Abstract: Provided is a separative tidal current rotor blade including: a hub constituting a body of a rotor; a blade formed by coupling a plurality of blade blocks together; a connecting member for connecting the hub and the blade; and a coupling unit for coupling one end of the connecting member to the hub. The blade can be mass produced and has excellent compactibility by dividing a body unit of the blade into a plurality of blocks and assembling the blocks. Also, manufacturing and maintenance costs and time can be reduced since the body unit of the blade is divided into the blocks. In addition, the blade can be prevented from being damaged since a shock absorbing member is disposed between blade blocks to absorb a sudden shock.
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a micro lens array, wherein the quality of an image is prevented from being deteriorated as a beam on an off-axis surface reaches a focal plane of a micro lens by forming a shading film for preventing the beam from penetrating through a space between micro lenses of the micro lens array, a micro lens having a high numerical aperture or any shape, such as an aspheric shape, is quickly manufactured at a low cost, and the micro lenses and a mask pattern are easily aligned by forming a mask pattern on a focus region formed by the micro lenses of the micro lens array.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for selective dealkylation of alkyl-substituted C9+ aromatic compounds using a bimodal porous dealkylation catalyst at a low temperature. The catalyst has a bimodal porous structure including both mesopores and micropores. The catalyst includes a crystalline aluminosilicate and a metal. The catalyst is highly active at a low temperature. According to the method, C9+ aromatic compounds substituted with at least one C2+ alkyl group as by-products formed by xylene production can be selectively dealkylated and converted to BTX, etc. on a large scale within a short time. In addition, the method is an environmentally friendly process entailing reduced waste treatment cost when compared to conventional mesitylene production methods. Therefore, high value-added mesitylene can be separated from low value-added C9+ aromatic compounds at lower cost compared to conventional methods.
