Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmission in a WTRU-specific search space, with the PDCCH transmission including a sequence scrambled based on a first radio network temporary identifier (RNTI), the first RNTI associated with the WTRU, and the sequence including downlink control information (DCI) and a cyclic redundancy check (CRC). The WTRU may determine scheduling information for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission based on the DCI. Further, the WTRU may receive the PDSCH based on the scrambling information. Additionally, the first RNTI may be a WTRU-identifier (WTRU-ID). Also, the DCI and CRC may be scrambled by a second RNTI. Moreover, the WTRU may receive scrambling indication information indicating that scrambling of information in a PDCCH transmission by an RNTI may be used. Also, the PDCCH transmission may include the sequence on a condition that the scrambling indication information is received.

  • Patent number: 11191037
Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for power control for aerial wireless transmit receive units (WTRUs). Power control may be open loop and may be managed based on altitude. Open loop power control may be based partly on path loss estimation from neighboring cells and may be coordinated among interfering neighboring eNBs using path loss information. Dynamic power control may be driven by the WTRU. Reference signal transmissions by an eNB may use uplink resources for path loss estimation, and interference estimation may be based on uplink reference signals. Path loss estimation may be based on downlink reference signals. Dynamic blanking may be provided for Cell-specific Reference Signals (CRS), and random access (e.g. RACH) may be provided for aerial WTRUs.

The RRC connection may establish a first radio interface between the WTRU and a first serving site of the network and a second radio interface between the WTRU and a second serving site of the network. The RRC connection may be established between the WTRU and the MeNB and a control function may be established between the WTRU and the SCeNB. The WTRU may receive data from the network over the first radio interface or the second radio interface.

  • Patent number: 11178651
Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for active interference management. Active interference management may be provided for designated data regions and/or superzones. UAV-specific or other designated data regions (e.g., with data zones) may enable dynamic inter-cell interference management and high reliability command & control for UAVs in interference prone in environments. Data zone/region specific control channel search space may support inter-cell interference cancellation. Aggregation N levels (e.g., during EPDCCH encoding) may be dependent on an interference level of a zone. Data zone specific reference signals (DS-RS) may enable UAVs connected to neighboring cells to estimate an interference channel per zone. Interference management may be provided during semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) transmissions. Reliability of Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) may be enhanced (EPDCCH), e.g., with interference assistance signaling.

Abstract: Systems and methods are contemplated for reconfiguration of one or more MAC instances while the WTRU is operating using dual- or multi-MAC instance connectivity. For example, upon reception of RRC reconfiguration information that modifies one or more secondary MAC instances, the WTRU may transmit a reconfiguration complete message to a Macro eNB (MeNB) and may synchronize to small-cell or secondary eNB (SeNB), for example if triggered by one or more of an RRC flag, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) order (MeNB/SeNB), MAC activation information, etc. For example, the WTRU may synchronize to the SeNB for specific type(s) of RRC reconfigurations, but not other type(s) of RRC reconfigurations. Although examples may be described in terms of dual connectivity, the WTRU may establish connectivity and perform mobility procedures with more than two radio access network (RAN) nodes (e.g., eNBs), and the embodiments described may be equally applicable to those scenarios.
