Abstract: A new UVC sterilization device for elevator buttons, which comprises of several UVC LEDs on an enclosed polymer body, equipped with an infrared sensor to provide signals when an object comes within a certain distance, along with a controller printed circuit board that drives the unit by providing a constant current for the disinfection LEDs, as well as a battery. The infrared sensor is connected with the MCU control unit in the main body through the infrared detection unit. The MCU control unit is connected with the LEDs through the LED control unit. The main body is mounted on the elevator wall by two brackets. These brackets mechanically hold the main body in place and align the LED rays towards the buttons. The product is small and compact, easy to carry and install, and proven to be effective against microbes which would ultimately reduce bacterial and virus transmissions.

  • Patent number: 5676710
Abstract: A coal preparation plant separates a low specific gravity clean coal fraction from a high specific gravity refuse fraction, and separately processes those fractions. Run of mine coal having particle sizes up to about 4 inches is mixed with a slurry of water and magnetizable particles, and is introduced into a heavy media cyclone to separate the high and low specific gravity fractions. The high specific gravity refuse fraction is delivered to a first magnetic separator to extract the magnetizable particles, while the low specific gravity clean coal fraction is delivered to a second magnetic separator to remove the magnetizable particles. The system is highly efficient and has a high processing capacity.

  • Patent number: 4526457
Abstract: A bouyant hanger unit comprises an elongated body molded of plastic to provide a clip on the bottom end thereof for holding a dental film chip in the plane of the hanger unit. The hanger unit has a circular projection on one face thereof axially aligned with a circular recess on the opposite face thereof. Such a construction enables a plurality of hanger units to be assembled face-to-face while permitting any of the hanger units to be pivoted away from the remaining hanger units in the assembly for the purpose of examining the dental film chip clipped on the bottom thereof. When the individual hanger units or an assembly of the hanger units with dental film chips clipped on the bottom thereof are placed in a solution they float in an upright position with the upper end thereof extending above the surface of the solution.
