  • Patent number: 11639283
Abstract: A floor position detection device of an elevator installation, and a method for generating a floor signal, includes a sensor unit and an evaluation unit for generating the floor signal with two states. The states are “in the range of the floor” and “outside the range of the floor”. The sensor unit includes a first Hall effect sensor generating a first floor position characteristic value and a second Hall effect sensor generating a second floor position characteristic value. The evaluation unit generates the floor signal on the basis of a comparison between the first and the second floor position characteristic values. The evaluation unit verifies whether the first and/or second floor position characteristic value is higher than a first threshold value and generates the floor signal on the basis of the result of the verification.

  • Patent number: 11618648
Abstract: A safety monitoring device monitoring safety-related states in a passenger conveyor system has first and second double contact relays each controlled by a control voltage to switch first and second normally open contacts and a feedback contact synchronously between an open and closed relay states. First and second controllers each determine properties of the system correlated with safety-related states and in dependence generate the control voltages. The controllers and two double contact relays form first and second safety monitoring switch arrangements for monitoring first and second safety-related states and correspondingly switch first and second switching states within a safety monitoring chain of the system. The first arrangement includes the first contact of the first connected in series with the first contact of the second relay. The second arrangement includes the second contact of the first relay connected in parallel with the second contact of the second relay.

  • Patent number: 11608247
Abstract: An elevator system caliper brake includes first and second brake levers each with a brake pad wherein the brake levers move the brake pads relative to one another along an actuation axis. The first brake lever is rotatably mounted at a stationary first mounting point at a housing of the brake, and the second brake lever is rotatably mounted at a second mounting point on an intermediate lever that is rotatably mounted at the brake housing. A tension element can be moved approximately parallel to an actuation axis and is connected to the brake levers at mounting points between the respective brake pads and the brake lever mounting points. A closing spring moves the first and second brake levers to decrease the distance between the brake pads and a linear spindle drive connected to the intermediate lever selectively counteracts the closing spring to increase the distance between the brake pads.

  • Patent number: 11608250
Abstract: A method and a device for monitoring an elevator car door acquire one or more distances based on light emitted toward the car door by a distance measuring device and reflected at the car door as a function of a current closed state of the car door. Information about the current closed state of the car door is derived solely by comparing the acquired distance with a previously acquired reference distance, and a signal which represents the information can be fed to a remotely arranged control center. The monitoring device can be installed as a retrofit component that is capable of working autonomously in existing elevator systems, does not need to receive any data from a controller of the car door or the elevator system and only requires a relatively simple data processing device that only needs to carry out a comparison of detected distance values with reference values.

  • Patent number: 11610446
Abstract: A system for controlling access to an access-restricted zone in a building includes a transmitting device transmitting a first radio signal, a receiving device for radio signals, a control device and a signal processing device communicatively connected to the receiving and control devices. The signal processing device determines a first channel impulse response based on the first radio signal received by the receiving device and a second channel impulse response based on a second radio signal received by the receiving device. The second radio signal is transmitted from a first mobile electronic device of a first user. The signal processing device determines a degree of similarity by evaluating the first and second channel impulse responses. The degree of similarity indicates how similar the first and second channel impulse responses are to one another. The control device initiates a building action if the degree of similarity meets a specified rule.

  • Patent number: 11603285
Abstract: An elevator car load measurement system for determining a load of an elevator car includes a plurality of at least two force sensors that are daisy-chained and connected to a controller for determining the load. Each force sensor measures a force exerted by the elevator car on the respective force sensor and generates a frequency signal with a square-wave form, wherein the frequency signal is proportional to the respective measured force. At least one of the force sensors adds a first frequency signal received from the previous force sensor along the daisy chain a second frequency signal generated by the at least one force sensor to generate a frequency sum signal, the last of the force sensors in the daisy chain forwards the frequency sum signal to the controller.

  • Patent number: 11577937
Abstract: This application relates to a method and an apparatus for monitoring a state of a passenger transport system such as, for example, an escalator. The method includes monitoring the state of the passenger transport system using an updated digital double data record that reflects characterizing properties of components of the passenger transport system in an actual configuration of the passenger transport system in a machine-processable manner after the assembly and installation thereof in a building. The updated digital double data record can be obtained, for example, by accurately surveying the passenger transport system and using signal values from sensors housed in the passenger transport system, and allows conclusions as to the present or future state of the passenger transport system, based on which maintenance measures can be planned efficiently and adequately.

  • Patent number: 11572256
Abstract: A mounting system has a mounting device with a carrier component and a mechatronic installation component, a displacement component arranged above the mounting device in an elevator shaft and a support member connected between the carrier component and the displacement component. The displacement component displaces the mounting device in the shaft using the support member, wherein the carrier component is supported by an upper support roller on a support wall of the shaft during the displacement in the shaft. The support member generates a diagonal pull perpendicular to the support wall surface. The mounting system also has a compensating element that counteracts a tilting of the carrier component about the upper supporting roller perpendicular to the support wall during the displacement in the shaft.
