Patents Assigned to Isovolta Oesterreichische Isolierstoffwerke Aktiengesellschaft
  • Patent number: 6369316
Abstract: A description is given of a photovoltaic module (1) in the form of a laminate, which as the core layer exhibits a solar cell system (2) and encapsulation materials (3, 3′) applied on both sides of the latter. According to the invention, at least one encapsulation material layer (3′) consists of a sealing layer (4′) and a barrier layer (6), which consists of a plastic film or a plastic film composite, and on which an inorganic oxide layer (7) separated out to the vapor phase is present.

  • Patent number: 4687685
Abstract: The process serves to impregnate planar carrier materials, especially those in the form of continuous webs, with synthetic resin to manufacture a stackable product, such as, e.g., paper-prepregs to be used for the manufacture of synthetic-resin-laminated panels. For the process, a highly viscous liquid synthetic resin coating (5) is applied to one surface of the carrier material (1), the coating is heated to a higher temperature, during or after which, respectively, the synthetic resin (4) of the coating (5) is at least in part absorbed by the carrier material (1). The carrier material (1') thusly coated with synthetic resin is then briefly subjected to such pressure, e.g., with the aid of a pair of pressure rollers (9), that the synthetic resin (4) evenly permeates the carrier material. For the concurrent impregnation of several carrier materials (1), the superposed carrier materials (1') coated with synthetic resin can be subjected to mechanical pressure.

  • Patent number: 4430493
Abstract: In an improved process for the preparation of aromatic polyesters by polycondensation of diphenols with aromatic dicarboxylic acid halides such as isophthalic acid chloride and/or terephthalic acid chloride, by a two-phase interface polycondensation method wherein a fine dispersion is produced from an aqueous phase consisting of a solution of diphenol, alkali metal hydroxide for the formation of the alkali metal diphenolate in a stoichiometric ratio or in a slight excess and a phase transfer catalyst like triethylbenzylammonium chloride, tetrabutyl ammonium iodide or crown ether in a mixture of water and an organic solvent as a solubilizer with the organic liquid phase consisting of a solution of the acid chloride in a halogenated solvent, where the diphenolate, transferred to the liquid phase by the phase transfer catalyst, reacts with the acid chloride in a polycondensation reaction for the formation of the polyester, and the polyester formed remains dissolved in the organic phase the improvement comprising
