Abstract: A portable carrier for papers, including two generally rectangular panels connected along one side and defining an interior there between. A closure is secured along three edges to the exterior of one of the panels to define a pouch between the one panel and the closure, with the pouch having an opening along a fourth edge. Two straps extend substantially parallel to two of the secured edges of the closure, with the straps each being secured in the pouch with one end at the pouch opening and the other end in the pouch adjacent the secured closure edge opposite the pouch opening. A pad is slidably connected along one side to the straps and has a storage position substantially within the pouch and a writing position outside the pouch on the closure. A mount is adapted to secure writing paper to the pad.

Each leg set includes at least three legs having a foot at their bottom and a head at their top, at least one of the legs being magnetic for attaching to the side wall of the metallic locker. A kit consisting of the components of the shelf unit is also provided.

Abstract: A distance measuring tool including a plurality of substantially flat unit members each having ears at opposite ends of opposing sides and measurement marks along a side extending between the opposing sides, with pivot members pivotably secured between the ears at opposite ends of opposing sides of adjacent unit members. The unit members are pivotally secured to adjacent pivot members along two spaced pivot axes, where the ears define the pivot axes a distance X from the ends of the ears and the pivot members define the pivot axes spaced apart a distance at least 2X. The unit members have a thickness Y and the pivot members have a width W, where 2X<W<2Y and, in another form, the ears are rounded to avoid interference with an adjacent ear when the unit members are pivoted relative to the pivot members. The pivot axes are defined by axially aligned pins pivotably received in recesses.

The spine member has a base portion, a front section and a rear section. A divider insert member extends between the front panel member and the rear panel member.
