  • Patent number: 4233345
Abstract: A method is provided for the stabilization of a high loft, low density, air-laid pad of short length fibers by the formation of a thin, reinforcing layer on a surface thereof. The film is formed by first pretreating a surface of the pad with a light spray (at a level not higher than about 15 cc per sq. meter of the pad) of a solution of a coagulating material for a resin dispersion, and then applying the resin dispersion to the pretreated surface and limiting its penetration into the pad by instant coagulation thereof.

  • Patent number: 4181218
Abstract: A dispensing container for dispensing premoistened tissues sequentially is moulded as a base and a cap which are snap fitted together, the cap being rotatable on the base to bring into alignment respective apertures in the cap and base side wall in an open position whereby a tissue can be extracted and the cap being rotatable to a closed position in which the apertures are not aligned; the side walls of the container provide the respective apertures in frusto conical wall portions which are urged into contact by interengaging elements on the cap and base permitting relative rotation but opposing relative displacement in the axial direction at least in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 4110263
Abstract: Mild cleansing compositions comprising at least one detergent and at least one alkyleneoxylated bisquaternary ammonium compound are described. Suitable bisquaternary ammonium compounds are represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R is an aliphatic radical of from about 10 to about 26 carbon atoms, R' is methyl, ethyl, propyl or R, X is an anion, n is an integer from 2 to 3, and x is an integer of from 1 to about 30. Suitable detergents are anionic or amphoteric detergents. The addition of alkyleneoxylated bisquaternary ammonium compound to anionic and amphoteric detergents reduces the irritant properties of the detergents.
