Abstract: In a method for manufacturing alkalimonofluorophosphate of general formula M.sub.2 PO.sub.3 F(I), where M stands for the cation of a metal of the first main group of the periodic system, in particular potassium, a reaction mixture containing alkali metal cations M, phosphate, fluoride, particularly in the form of alkali hydroxide, phosphoric acid and hydrofluoric acid, and water, the molar ratio of M:P:F being (2.+-.0.1):(1.+-.0.05):(1.+-.0.1) and the molar ratio of water:P being at least 1:1, is heated to a temperature of 150.degree. C. to 400.degree. C. Alkalimonofluorophosphate of general formula (I) occurs, with evaporation of water, as a reaction product, which is then isolated.

Abstract: The stability of granular carrier-bound enzymes is improved by further treating the carrier-bound enzyme with a bifunctional cross-linking agent and a polyamine. A particularly preferred cross-linking agent is glutaric dialdehyde, and a particularly preferred polyamine is polyethylene imine. Preferably, the cross-linking agent is used in an amount of 5 to 250 mg per 1 gram of carrier-bound enzyme and is dissolved in a 0.1 to 10% (W/V) aqueous solution, and the polyamine is used in an amount of 3 to 240 mg per 1 gram of dry carrier and is dissolved in a 0.1 to 20% (W/V) aqueous solution.

Abstract: A method for separating barium contaminants from soluble strontium compounds comprising adding sulfuric acid and a basic strontium compound in solid, suspended or dissolved form to an aqueous solution of a barium-contaminated soluble strontium compound in controlled amounts with thorough stirring to maintain the pH of the solution between about 3 and about 10; removing solids which precipitate from the solution; and thereafter recovering a strontium compound having a decreased barium content from the solution. The method may be carried out continuously or batch-wise, and the sulfuric acid and basic strontium compound can be added in repeated alternating portions or continuously.
