Abstract: The present invention relates to a secondary battery structure having a windable flexible polymer matrix solid electrolyte and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method comprises the steps of electroplating a positive electrode on a first side of a cloth solid electrolyte; then electroplating a negative electrode on a second side opposite to the first side of the cloth solid electrolyte; and conducting a heat treatment process to form a first carbonized layer between the positive electrode and the cloth solid electrolyte, and a second carbonized layer between the negative electrode and the cloth solid electrolyte.

Abstract: A sanitary article includes an absorbent pad including an upper sheet layer, a lower sheet layer, and a pulp-and-SAP powder layer combination. The powder layer combination is constituted by alternate layers of pulverized pulp and superabsorbent polymer (SAP) powder. A method for making the sanitary article is also disclosed.

Abstract: A cleaning pad for a robot cleaner includes a back piece, an absorbent sheet, and a water permeable web. The water permeable web has a web body which is of such a dimension as to form a downward draping unit to shield the absorbent sheet. The downward draping unit is embossed toward the back piece and along at least one line oriented in a lengthwise direction to form successive downward draping members each defining a height between a lowermost area thereof and a lower major surface of the back piece. The heights of the successive downward draping members are incrementally decreased from a rearmost one of the successive downward draping members to a frontmost one of the successive downward draping members.

Abstract: A method for making face masks includes: advancing continuously a longitudinal sheet material that can be divided into a plurality of mask sheets each of which has two opposite longitudinal ends and two opposite transverse ends; cutting the sheet material at intervals to form the mask sheets; providing a plurality of strips each of which has two longitudinally opposite strip ends and each of which is folded to form a pleat between the two strip ends thereof; and bonding the two strip ends of each of the strips to one of the opposite transverse ends of a respective one of the mask sheets to form an ear loop. A structure of the face mask is also disclosed.

Abstract: An absorbent article for use with a RF reader includes an absorbent pad and a RFID tag. The absorbent pad includes a lining layer, a liquid-impermeable layer, an absorbent layer, and a plurality of sensing wires. The liquid-impermeable layer is attached to the lining layer. The absorbent layer is disposed between the lining layer and the liquid-impermeable layer. The lining layer and the liquid-impermeable layer define a receiving space having an opening located at a side portion of the absorbent pad. The sensing wires are provided on the absorbent layer and extend into the receiving space. The RFID tag is received in the receiving space and contacts electrically the sensing wires when received in the receiving space.

Abstract: There are provided a shaped sheet laminate that is adapted for an absorbent article and that has a specific structure to enhance the absorbing effect of the absorbent article, a method for manufacturing the shaped sheet laminate, and a shaping apparatus adapted to manufacture the shaped sheet laminate. The shaping apparatus includes a first roller having a rolling surface, a plurality of indentations that are indented from the rolling surface, a plurality of annular inner wall surfaces respectively defining the indentations, and a plurality of suction holes that are in air communication the respective indentations. Each of the annular inner wall surfaces has an annular outer edge that meets the rolling surface.

Abstract: A nonwoven fabric composite includes a spunbond nonwoven fabric layer having a plurality of bonded fibers, an air-laid nonwoven pulp web layer having a plurality of pulp fibers and overlying the spunbond nonwoven fabric layer to cooperatively form an inner laminate with the pulp web layer, and a pair of nonwoven carded fiber web layers each having a plurality of carded fibers. The nonwoven carded fiber web layers sandwich the inner laminate therebetween. The bonded fibers, the pulp fibers, and the carded fibers are entangled with one another. A ratio of tensile strength of the nonwoven fabric composite in a machine direction to tensile strength of the nonwoven fabric composite in a cross-machine direction is not greater than 4.

Abstract: A method for making a female member of a hook-and-loop fastener includes the steps of: (a) bonding together a base layer and a surface layer, that is formed from a fiber material and that is superimposed on the base layer, by applying heat to the surface layer so that fibers of the surface layer are curled; and (b) immediately after step (a), subjecting the surface layer to a rapid cooling treatment so as to set the curled fibers of the surface layer.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a hydrogel laminate of a wound dressing includes the steps of: providing a fabric layer; forming a fluid-impermeable barrier layer on a lower surface of the fabric layer, the fluid-impermeable barrier layer having a water-repellant surface bonded to the lower surface of the fabric layer; applying a hydrogel precursor onto an upper surface of the fabric layer so as to permit the hydrogel precursor to infiltrate into the fabric layer; and curing the hydrogel precursor in the fabric layer to obtain a hydrogel laminate.

Abstract: A method for making a face mask includes: cutting an elastic sheet to form an ear hanging strap having an opening; forming a cup-shaped mask body; thermal-bonding the cup-shaped mask body to a bonding portion of the ear hanging strap surrounding the opening; and forming two ear hanging holes in the ear hanging strap at two opposite sides of the opening. A face mask made by the above method is also provided.
