Patents Assigned to Koito Manufacturing Company Limited
  • Patent number: 4503486
Abstract: A lamp assembly for an automobile comprises a tilting member such as a lamp unit or reflector adapted to be moved by optical axis adjusting rods threadedly engaged with self-locking nuts relative to a support member such as a lamp unit casing or the like fixed to a vehicle body or the like so as to adjust an optical axis of the lamp unit or reflector. According to the invention, each self-locking nut is formed with two engaging grooves extending in directions perpendicular to each optical axis adjusting rod. One of the grooves has two opposite surfaces formed with round extensions extending toward each other. The other groove has a bottom having a convex along its generatrix.

  • Patent number: 4202603
Abstract: A back plate carrying a mirror is mounted on a stationary base plate through a universal support to be rotatable and filtable. Two threaded rods are connected to the back plate through couplings that rotate and tilt the back plate. The threaded rods each have ends connected to worm wheels respectively which mesh worms driven by one or two reversible direct current motors. A spring having a single turn at the center is used. The single turn portion is secured to the base plate and the opposite legs are urged against the threaded rods act as nuts so as to move the threaded in the axial direction when they are rotated where two worms are driven by a single reversible direct current motor, the worms disposed on the opposite sides of the motor and selectively connected thereto through clutches which are controlled by a solenoid.

  • Patent number: 4119516
Abstract: Apparatus useful for the continuous manufacture of metal foil or printed circuit patterns includes a cathode supported over a plating tank with its flat bottom surface disposed horizontally. A continuous strip of basis metal to be plated is fed horizontally over the tank from reel to reel while being held in sliding contact with the bottom surface of the cathode by suction. Within the plating tank a pair of insoluble anodes having a block of electrically insulating material sandwiched therebetween are mounted opposite to the cathode, with a spacing between each anode and the basis metal traveling under the cathode. The insulating block has an upwardly opening groove formed transversely therein, and from this groove the electrolyte solution within the tank is caused to flow turbulently through the spaces between the anodes and the basis metal traveling under the cathode in order to speed the electrodeposition, as of copper, on the downward-facing surface of the basis metal.

  • Patent number: 4053370
Abstract: A metal surface such as an endless strip of stainless steel is masked with a plating resist, leaving exposed areas to form a desired circuit pattern. The circuit pattern comprising a high density major layer and a roughened surface layer is formed by copper electroplating on the masked metal surface as same is made cathodic in a copper sulfate bath and successively held opposite to first and second insoluble anodes therein. In order to realize a high copper deposition rate, the electrolyte is caused to flow turbulently at an elevated temperature through the spacings between the metal surface and the first and second anodes. The completed circuit pattern has its roughened surface layer bonded to an adhesive-coated strip of insulating base and is separated from the metal surface. If desired, an adhesive-coated strip of overlay may then be bonded to the circuit pattern on the insulating base strip. The complete process can be automated.
