Abstract: A game-machine operation-member rotation structure 3 is provided in which an operation member 31 attached to a rotation shaft 34 supported so as to rotate is turned right and left, including: a moving body 352 which protrudes in the radial direction of the rotation shaft 34, rotates together with the rotation shaft 34 and moves freely in the axial direction; a spiral guide 36 which is concentric with the rotation shaft 34 and moves the moving body 352 in the axial direction as the rotation shaft 34 rotates; and a stopper which is disposed on a movement locus of the moving body 352.
Abstract: A process for controlling sound producing produces predetermined sound according to a distance between a position for obtaining an invisible item and an operation character, to be computed by process for computing item distance, and outputs from sound output means. A process for obtaining invisible item executes a processing for obtaining invisible item for a corresponding operation character in such a state that the distance becomes a predetermined value or lower. Then, the perception of a player through hearing sense concerning acquisition of an item can be introduced as an element of the game. So, the player can search the item with assistance of predetermined sound produced, thereby increasing a fun of the game.
Abstract: In order to generate, on a display screen, a natural-looking deformed image obtained by intentionally distorting an original image, a buffer 21 comprises an original image storage section 210 which stores an original image, and a model storage section 211 which stores a 3-D model, comprising a plurality of polygons, and having a shape in which at least a portion of a plane is distorted in 3-D space. A drawing processor 10 comprises an image pasting section 100, which reads an original image from the original image storage section 210, reads a 3-D model from the model storage section 211, and pastes the above original image, as a texture, onto the above 3-D model, and a deformed image drawing section 101, which, by writing to a frame buffer 213, draws on a monitor 22 a deformed image, which is an image of the above 3-D model onto which an original image has been pasted, as seen from a prescribed camera viewpoint.
Abstract: The present invention provides a game device that can display strings more suited to speech recognition at the time of speech input. A priority input device information acquisition unit (56) acquires priority input device information. When the priority input device information represents a character input device, an input criteria display unit (58) and a determination unit (60) display character input criteria as input criteria and determine whether or not that input corresponds to the input criteria. When the priority input device information represents a speech input device, the input criteria display unit (58) and the determination unit (60) display character input criteria as input criteria, and in regard to predetermined character input criteria, display speech input criteria corresponding to the character input criteria as input criteria, and determine whether or not that input corresponds to speech recognition data corresponding to the input criteria.
Abstract: A gauge display program is provided which makes it possible for a user to ascertain easily parameter values, and which enables the image of the game itself to be satisfactorily displayed and thereby to enable the interest of the video game itself to be satisfactorily presented to the user. Image data is output to television monitor 21 so that an action-responsive gauge displayed on a game screen is successively switched over, by means of a gauge display switching section 109, to an action-responsive gauge selected as the result of a determination by a gauge display type determination section 102 and action determination section 103, and thus the action-responsive gauge displayed on the game screen is switched over in response to the action of the game character.
Abstract: A video game machine is disclosed which includes an image display unit for displaying game images, a touch screen for displaying operating elements used to operate the game, an attribute data memory, an attribute data output unit, an attribute assignment unit, and an assignment signal input unit for starting the attribute assignment unit. The attribute assignment unit receives a signal from the assignment signal input unit, reads attribute data for one attribute from the attribute data memory, associates the one attribute to an operating element having one function, and outputs the result as an image to the touch screen.
Abstract: A game system that allows a player to manipulate a real interface device in a real space and have a representation of the real interface device (i.e., a virtual interface device) be displayed in a virtual space is disclosed. The position of the real interface device in the real space is detected by a position detector and converted into spatial coordinates by a three-dimensional input conversion means at predetermined time intervals. When a player moves the real interface device, a virtual interface device is displayed within the virtual space and moves identically with the real interface device. The virtual interface device is determined to have struck an object in the virtual space (e.g., an enemy) when the coordinates of at least a portion of the object in the virtual space are the same as, or within a predetermined range of, the coordinates of the virtual interface device.
Abstract: In order to represent, as a video, changes in the light-and-shade patterns of an image with a reduced demand for storage capacity and a relatively small amount of preparation, light-and-shade pattern data representing the light-and-shade pattern to be added to an original image and constructed by assigning a palette number to each image region obtained by dividing the original image is prepared. A plurality of palette data constructed by assigning color information having brightness difference to each palette number are generated, the plurality of palette data being different from each other. A plurality of light-and-shade images each based on the light-and-shade pattern data and one of the palette data generated at the palette data generating step are translucently blended, in sequence, into the original image.

Abstract: To output music other than original music, which is suitable to keep a player excited, in the place of a part of the original music, such as a beginning or ending thereof, which is unsuitable to serve as game music. When main part end timing TE arrives while outputting original music MO1, connection music MI2, correlated with original music MO2, which is next game music, begins playing.
Abstract: A driving device (2) which is remotely controlled by a transmitter (1) holds a first parameter (D) and a second parameter (L), transmits an offense signal based on the first parameter (D), and changes the second parameter (L) according to information included in a received specified signal. A remote control system can realize a battle game where the transmitter (1) and the driving device (2) play against another pair of a driving device (2) and a transmitter (1), the driving device (2) receives the offense signal transmitted from the other driving device (2) as the specified signal, and the second parameter (L) is changed according to the information included in the specified signal can be realized in a remote control toy system. In the system, the transmitter (1) allows a control signal to include specified information according to a user's specified operation, and the driving device (2) changes the its own first parameter (D) based on the specified information in the control signal.
Abstract: A sound apparatus is disclosed which can reproduce a wide variety of sound effects. An expansion unit (10) has a control circuit (61), an audio circuit (62), and a speaker (63). The audio circuit (62) has a first sound source (SG1)-a fifth sound source (SG5). The control circuit (61) controls the first to fifth (SG1-SG5) sound sources according to a change in speed information. When the speed information greatly changes over a speed range corresponding to a gear, the reproduction of an acceleration sound or a deceleration sound is interrupted and is started from the beginning according to the number of times that a boundary between speed ranges is crossed.
Abstract: The present invention provides a play toy system using a remote-controlled traveling toy, which enables the remote-controlled traveling toy to make a movement that is more unexpected than before, for play. The remote-controlled traveling toy 1 includes one front wheel 5 and two rear wheels 7 and 9. The traveling toy is remotely controlled by remote control signals and is so constructed as to travel on a traveling surface of a play board. The diameter sizes of the two rear wheels 7 and 9 are different. With one front wheel 5 and two rear wheels 7, 9 having a different diameter, the remote-controlled traveling toy 1 can move most unexpectedly that anyone has ever experienced, according to the state of the traveling surface of the play board.
Abstract: A cylindrical body is rotated about a rotation axis interconnecting a center point of a top circle thereof and a center point of a bottom circle thereof. The cylindrical body having an outer peripheral face formed with at least one token-groove. An outer wall member covers the outer peripheral face of the cylindrical body to form a gap between an inner face of the outer wall member and the token-groove such that a single gaming token in an upright attitude is held therein. The gaming token held in the gap is ejected toward a tangent direction of an outer peripheral circle of the cylindrical body in accordance with a rotary action of the cylindrical body.
