Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for detecting a voice section in time-space by using audio and video information. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for detecting a voice section from time-space by using audio and video information comprises the steps of: detecting a voice section in an audio signal which is inputted into a microphone array; verifying a speaker from the detected voice section; sensing the face of the speaker by using a video signal which is inputted into a camera if the speaker is successfully verified, and then estimating the direction of the face of the speaker; and determining the detected voice section as the voice section of the speaker if the estimated face direction corresponds to a reference direction which is previously stored.

Abstract: There are provided an apparatus and a method for establishing a contention window in a WiMedia wireless network. The contention window establishing apparatus includes: a parsing unit extracting the number of devices that intend to transmit data from a beacon received during a beacon period and an access category (AC) of each device; a calculation unit calculating a transmission probability of each access category (AC) on the basis of the extracted number of devices; and a contention window establishing unit establishing a contention window for each access category (AC) on the basis of the calculated transmission probability, to reduce contentions among the devices and decrease data transmission latency time, thereby maximizing efficiency in data transmission latency time.

Abstract: Provided are a flexible and transparent carbon nano tube (CNT) thin film transistor using a degradable polymer substrate, and a display adapting the CNT thin film transistor. The polymer substrate is formed of a polymer material that is naturally degraded, and a CNT channel, where a semiconductive CNT is dispersed on a transparent organic material, is prepared on the polymer substrate. Source and drain electrodes, where a conductive CNT is ejected on a transparent organic material, are connected to both sides of the CNT channel. Abstract: The present invention relates to a new use of inhibitors of leukotriene B4 receptor BLT2 for treating human cancers. More particularly, the present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating human cancers comprising BLT2 inhibitors and a method for treating human cancers using BLT2 inhibitors. The present inventors revealed the role of BLT2 as a survival factor of human cancers, such as bladder, prostate, pancreatic, and breast cancer and found that the BLT2 inhibitors can be used as anti-cancer drugs. The present inventors revealed that BLT2 has an important role in metastasis of cancer cells and angiogenesis of tumor and demonstrated that the anti-cancer activity of the BLT2 inhibitors is accomplished by inducing the apoptosis of cancer cells, inhibiting the metastasis of cancer cells, or inhibiting the angiogenesis of tumor.

Abstract: A method of forming a nitride semiconductor through ion implantation and an electronic device including the same are disclosed. In the method, an ion implantation region composed of a line/space pattern is formed on a substrate at an ion implantation dose of more than 1E17 ions/cm2 to 5E18 ions/cm2 or less and an ion implantation energy of 30˜50 keV, and a metal nitride thin film is grown on the substrate by epitaxial lateral overgrowth, thereby decreasing lattice defects in the metal nitride thin film. Thus, the electronic device has improved efficiency.

Abstract: A linear phase detector includes an up/down pulse generator operating in response to received data signals and a recovered clock signal. The phase detector generates up and down pulses that have pulse widths proportional to the phase differences between transitions of the received data signals and edges of the recovered clock signal. By generating up and down pulses using a linear phase detector in proportion to a phase error, data signals are effectively recovered, even data signals with significant jitter.
