  • Patent number: 10983540
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for providing fluid such as water at a controlled temperature. In some embodiments, hot and cold fluid is provided to a thermostatically controlled mixing valve, which then provides fluid at a mixed temperature to a plumbing system. The thermostat provides a first loop for closed-loop control of fluid exit temperature, and preferably there is a second, electronically controlled closed loop for adjusting the temperature of fluid exiting the valve. In yet other embodiments the electronic control loop is fail-fixed, such that a loss of electrical communication to the actuator results in the actuator maintaining its last position. In yet other embodiments there is a system including a flow sensor and a recirculation pump such that the temperature of the fluid exiting the valve cannot be adjusted if there is insufficient flow, or if the pump is actuated.

  • Patent number: 10982579
Abstract: A system operates to bypass one or more exhaust purifying devices during deceleration fuel cut-off (DFCO) events in order to avoid hydrocarbon purging. The system includes an internal combustion engine and exhaust purifying system including a first purifying device and a second purifying device. An exhaust gas sensor monitors an exhaust gas feedstream. A diverter valve is disposed to manage the exhaust gas feedstream and fluidly coupled to an exhaust diversion pipe. A controller detects operation of the engine in a DFCO state and monitors the exhaust gas feedstream via the exhaust sensor. The diverter valve is controlled to divert the exhaust gas feedstream away from at least one of the first and second purifying devices during the DFCO event when the exhaust gas feedstream has an air/fuel ratio that is greater than a threshold air/fuel ratio.

  • Patent number: 10984009
Abstract: Aspects described herein may relate to methods, systems, and apparatuses that partitions searchable content and distributes the segments across a plurality of processing nodes, which in turn further sub-partitions the partitions for processing by local search actor in order to increase the speed with which a search request from a user is processed. Processing nodes available to receive partitioned searchable content are registered with an external storage device. The external storage device also maintains a global results collector that compiles results from the partitions of searchable content. Respective local collector actors receive compiled results from local search actors for a processing node and the compiled results are sent to the global results collector for compiling for the plurality of processing nodes. Results of the user search request are then provided to the user.

  • Patent number: 10986492
Abstract: Content of wireless equipment (WE) is managed over-the-air (OTA). Content is germane to feature(s) of the WE and is related to operation thereof. Management of the content is automatically implemented in response to attachment of the WE to a confined-coverage access point (AP). The WE and a network server enable, in part, such management. The confined-coverage AP enables exchange of signaling and data associated with management of the content amongst the WE and the network server. Content includes software (SW); management OTA of SW can include update of an in-use version of a SW application or related SW component(s). SW update signaling can comprise message(s) conveying a WE identifier and in-use version(s) of SW; request(s) for an update instruction; request(s) for at least one file associated with the SW; or message(s) indicative of availability of version(s) of SW newer than the in-use version(s).

  • Patent number: 10983930
Abstract: Techniques for providing an efficient NTB-based data transport in a highly available storage system. The techniques include performing an ordered transfer of a source data buffer from a primary storage node to a secondary storage node over a PCIe NTB, writing a “transfer ID value” for the ordered transfer over the NTB to a “received transfer ID register” of the secondary storage node, performing a remote procedure call (RPC) to send, over a side channel, the transfer ID value as a “sent transfer ID value” to the secondary storage node, and processing the RPC call to verify the value contained in the received transfer ID register against the sent transfer ID value. Having performed the verification, the secondary storage node determines a successful or unsuccessful status of the ordered transfer, and sends an RPC reply to acknowledge or inform the primary storage node of the successful or unsuccessful status.

  • Patent number: 10980169
Abstract: An error detection and flow rate monitoring system of a liquid fertilizer distribution system of an agricultural implement that can provide feedback to identify compromised flow states in the system and corresponding locations of potential blockage or component failure. The system may include pressure sensors that may be evaluated in pairs or otherwise analyzed comparatively to determine flow rate or other characteristics through nozzle assemblies. The pressure sensors may be mounted in the wet boom between the rows. A control system compares the pressure values before and after each row to determine the pressure drop across its nozzle assembly and may further use the pressure drop values to determine flow or application rates and corresponding errors in the pressure drop, flow rate, and application rate compared to their acceptable values and may provide feedback to identify a specific location(s) of potential blockage or flow-control component failure.
