Patent number: 11818191Abstract: An approach for gathering, encoding and transmitting histogram data mitigates the need for transmission resources by compressing the gathered data in a lossless, stateless manner for transmission. A generally sparse data set benefits from an encoding mechanism based on a bit plane arrangement of the raw data. The approach organizes bit planes in a sequential manner, and then encodes values based on intervals of non-zero bit positions. By traversing a sequential string based on the bit plane, each “run” of zeroes tends to produce relatively small values, easing encoding burdens, but also accommodated larger values when necessary. A selective encoding technique invokes different encoding processes based on the magnitude of the interval, to allow use of an encoding that stores each respective value in the fewest bits. Different encoding techniques are applied based on ranges of the interval magnitude, or zero run.Type: GrantFiled: November 11, 2021Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: Two Six Labs, LLCInventors: Seth Henshaw, Matthew Blackston

Patent number: 11816969Abstract: A user device may obtain sensor data related to a physical environment. The user device may process the sensor data to determine that a potential threat exists in the physical environment and a threat score associated with the potential threat. The user device may determine that the threat score satisfies a threat score threshold. The user device may obtain, based on determining that the threat score satisfies the threat score threshold, additional information related to the physical environment. The user device may generate, based on the additional information related to the physical environment and at least one of the sensor data, information indicating the potential threat in the physical environment, or the threat score associated with the potential threat, threat determination information associated with the physical environment. The user device may perform, based on the threat determination information associated with the physical environment, one or more actions.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 2021Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Galen Rafferty, Austin Walters, Christopher Wallace, Samuel Sharpe, Brian Barr, Anh Truong, Grant Eden

Patent number: 11816097Abstract: Systems and methods for determining accurate addresses for assets are described herein. According to some aspects, a plurality of addresses associated with an asset are compiled from sources such as database systems. For the plurality of address records, scores that correspond to attributes of the address records can be determined. Attributes associated with the address records may include a recency, a source, a date, license plate data, or address type, to name several non-limiting examples. Additionally, a zone of interest for the asset can be determined based on the plurality of address records. The plurality of address records is prioritized based on their distance from the zone of interest and the scores associated with them and, based on the priority, a subset of the plurality of address records is sent to, for example, a service provider.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2021Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Lindsay Detwiler, Kukumina Pradhan, Lokesh S. Patent number: 11815869Abstract: Efficient control and/or linking of smart network connected devices. Some implementations are directed to rendering, within an active application that enables control of multiple smart devices from multiple parties, both: (1) an interactive graphical interface element that, when interacted with, causes corresponding control of smart device(s) of a third-party (3P); and (2) a selectable element that, when selected, causes execution of a deeplink to cause a 3P application to open in a state that presents additional information for the smart device(s). Some implementations are additionally or alternatively directed to, in response to determining that a 3P application is installed at a client device, but a smart device topology lacks any entries for 3P smart devices of the 3P, efficiently adding one or more particular smart devices of the 3P to the smart device topology.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2022Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: GOOGLE LLCInventors: Yuzhao Ni, David Roy Schairer

Patent number: 11815893Abstract: A method of operating an apparatus using a control system that includes at least one neural network. The method includes receiving an input value captured by the apparatus, processing the input value using the at least one neural network of the control system implemented on first one or more solid-state chips, and obtaining an output from the at least one neural network resulting from processing the input value. The method may also include processing the output with another neural network implemented on solid-state chips to determine whether the output breaches a predetermined condition that is unchangeable after an initial installation onto the control system. The aforementioned another neural network is prevented from being retrained. The method may also include the step of using the output from the at least one neural network to control the apparatus unless the output breaches the predetermined condition. Similar corresponding apparatuses are described.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 2021Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: APEX AI INDUSTRIES, LLCInventor: Kenneth A. Abeloe
