Abstract: A popcorn popper configured to cook popcorn includes a vessel and an electric heating element which heats the vessel. A vibration element vibrates the vessel and a controller controls the heating element and the vibration element. A temperature sensor is in communication with the controller such that the controller can receive temperature readings from the temperature sensor indicative of a temperature of the vessel. The controller activating the heating element to heat the vessel which contains the popcorn until the temperature sensor indicates that a first temperature has been reached. The controller, based on readings from the temperature sensor, maintains the vessel at a second temperature by controlling a power setting of the heating element and the controller activates the vibration element to vibrate the vessel which thereby vibrates the popcorn. The controller after maintaining the vessel at the second temperature, reduces the power of the heating element.

Abstract: Improved video compression and video streaming systems and methods are disclosed for environments where camera motion is common, such as cameras incorporated into head-mounted displays. This is accomplished by combining a 3D representation of the shape of the user's environment (walls, floor, ceiling, furniture, etc.), image data, and data representative of changes in the location and orientation (pose) of the camera between successive image frames, thereby reducing data bandwidth needed to send streaming video in the presence of camera motion.

Abstract: A transportation vessel includes a sidewall having a vertically oriented track on an interior side of the sidewall. The track extends upwardly to a top of the sidewall. A load bar has end(s) coupled to the track such that the end of the load bar is vertically slidable along the track. A stop bracket is positioned at a top of the track. The stop bracket includes a track extension and a stop piece. The track extension accommodates sliding of the load bar upwardly above the track. The stop piece blocks upward sliding of the load bar above the track extension.

Abstract: Some implementations relate to performing speech biasing, NLU biasing, and/or other biasing based on historical assistant interaction(s). It can be determined, for one or more given historical interactions of a given user, whether to affect future biasing for (1) the given user account, (2) additional user account(s), and/or (3) the shared assistant device as a whole. Some implementations disclosed herein additionally and/or alternatively relate to: determining, based on utterance(s) of a given user to a shared assistant device, an association of first data and second data; storing the association as accessible to a given user account of the given user; and determining whether to store the association as also accessible by additional user account(s) and/or the shared assistant device.
Abstract: A recommendation system for recommending a target feature value for a target feature for a target deployment is provided. The recommendation system, for each of a plurality of deployments, collects feature values for the features of that deployment. The recommendation system then generates a model for recommending a target feature value for the target feature based on the collected feature values of the features for the deployments. The recommendation system applies the model to the features of the target deployment to identify a target feature value for the target feature. The recommendation system then provides the identified target feature value as a recommendation for the target feature for the target deployment.

Abstract: A processor executable method, system, and computer-readable media expedite the process of entering equations for use in developing simulations of chemical processes. The process of entering equations is expedited by dynamically inferring the dimensions of variables. The process infers the dimensions of all variables in user-added equations, and infers the dimensions of each variable in a user-added equation sequentially. The process automatically creates variables with unassigned dimensions in response to indications, such as inputs from a user, to declare new equations. The process assigns dimensions to variables based on relations between variables, such as logical relations between the dimensions of variables.
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for optimizing bandwidth utilization and services in a data network infrastructure. In one embodiment, the data network is a managed Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) cable network, and the network infrastructure is configured to enable dynamic allocate of frequency bands to individual consumer premises device (e.g., DOCSIS-compliant cable modems). In one variant, the improved network infrastructure enables creation of virtual Service Groups (vSGs), and allocation of individual ones of the CM to such vSGs, to some degree irrespective of topological or “hardwired” location within the network. The allocations can be dynamic, and based on factors such as load balancing, evacuation of portions of the physical network topology (such as to support infrastructure upgrades or replacement), or for yet other reasons such as relating to subscriber tier or service level agreement (SLA).

Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for creating a network slice section policy (“NSSP”) rule. One apparatus includes a processor and a transceiver for communicating with a network function in a mobile communication network. The processor receives a first request from the network function, the first request comprising a list of one or more application identifiers and a corresponding application profile and application provider for each application identifier. The processor determines one or more network slice identifiers for each application identifier using the corresponding application profile and application provider. The processor also creates a NSSP rule for each application identifier in the list of application identifiers, the NSSP rule containing the application identifier and the associated one or more network slice identifiers.
