  • Patent number: 11421710
Abstract: An air moving device according to the present disclosure can include a housing and an installation hub. The housing can be connected to the installation hub via one or more adjustable supports. An impeller can be installed at least partially in the housing and configured to direct air out of the housing. In some embodiments, the adjustable supports can be adjusted to move the housing with respect to the installation hub. For example, the adjustable supports can be configured to modify the tilt of the housing and/or the overall distance between the housing and the installation hub. The installation hub can be installed on a ceiling, wall, or other mounting surface. Adjustment of the adjustable supports can permit vertical alignment of the air moving device housing, even when the installation hub is mounted to a slanted or sloped (e.g., non-horizontal) ceiling or wall.

  • Patent number: 11423218
Abstract: A formula abstraction system is described. The system includes detecting a user-generated formula in a cell of a spreadsheet document, generating a graphical user interface that queries entries of a custom function based on the user-generated formula, forming the custom function by abstracting the user-generated formula to the custom function based on the entries, and storing the custom function in a function library of the spreadsheet document. The custom function applies the user-generated formula in a user-selected cell of the spreadsheet document.

  • Patent number: 11423616
Abstract: In one embodiment, a system may access an input image of an object captured by cameras, and the input image depicts appearance information associated with an object. The system may generate a first mesh of the object based on features identified from the input image of the object. The system may generate, by processing the first mesh using a machine-learning model, a position map that defines a contour of the object. Each pixel in the position map corresponds to a three-dimensional coordinate. The system may further generate a second mesh based on the position map, wherein the second mesh has a higher resolution than the first mesh. The system may render an output image of the object based on the second mesh. The system disclosed in the present application can render a dense mesh which has a higher resolution to provide details which cannot be compensated by texture information.

  • Patent number: 11422909
Abstract: When managing stripes in a storage system, based on a determination that a failed storage device appears in first storage devices, a failed stripe involving the failed storage device is determined in a first redundant array of independent disks (RAID). An idle space that can be used to reconstruct the failed stripe is determined in the first storage devices. The failed stripe is reconstructed to second storage devices in the storage system based on a determination that the idle space is insufficient to reconstruct the failed stripe, the second storage devices being storage devices in a second RAID. An extent in the failed stripe is released in the first storage devices. Accordingly, it is possible to reconstruct a failed stripe as soon as possible to avoid data loss, and further to provide more idle spaces in the first storage devices for future reconstruction.

  • Patent number: 11424442
Abstract: A method of making a negative electrode material for an electrochemical cell that cycles lithium ions is provided that includes centrifugally distributing a molten precursor comprising silicon and lithium by contacting the molten precursor with a rotating surface in a centrifugal atomizing reactor. The molten precursor is solidified to form a plurality of substantially round solid electroactive particles comprising an alloy of lithium and silicon and having a D50 diameter of less than or equal to about 20 micrometers. In certain variations, the negative electroactive material particles may further have one or more coatings disposed thereon, such as a carbonaceous coating and/or an oxide-based coating.

  • Patent number: 11419953
Abstract: Gadolinium based contrast agents (GCA) incorporating linear ligand chelation are fundamentally different from GCAs incorporating macrocyclic ligands. The macrocyclic\GCAs are synthesized by pathways characterized by the formation of a sequence of metastable complexes before obtaining the final stable complex. The synthesis of linear GCAs do not form metastable complexes. Commercial macrocyclic GCAs contain unstable metastable complexes. These metastable species are not regulated and quickly release free Gd3+ ions upon administration into the body. Gadolinium based contrast agents with near zero metastable species content and methods of synthesizing the same are disclosed. Gadolinium based contrast agents with long dissociation time in the body, and low free Gd3+ ion formation are obtained using a synthesis method which departs in novel ways from the traditional free Gd3+-based synthesis methods.
