The knife section includes a plurality of knives that are spaced apart by a knife pitch. The guard pitch is neither equal to nor is a whole number multiple of the knife pitch.

Abstract: A vehicle includes an engine and a transmission having an input shaft operably coupled to the engine, an output shaft operably coupled to wheels of the vehicle, a primary pump, and a secondary pump. The primary and secondary pumps are each configured to supply pressurized fluid to a valve body of the transmission. A controller is programmed to, in response to a loss of pressure of the primary pump and a speed of the output shaft exceeding a first threshold, shift the transmission to a neutral state, energize the secondary pump once the transmission is in the neutral state, and command the engine to idle speed.

Abstract: A method for automatically controlling a height of a harvesting implement of an agricultural vehicle relative to a ground surface includes receiving height data from a plurality of height sensors spaced apart relative to the harvesting implement with a known spatial relationship and analyzing the height data in combination with position data associated with the known spatial relationship of the plurality of height sensors to establish a correlation between the height data and the position data. In addition, the method includes determining at least one control output for controlling an operation of a height cylinder and a tilt cylinder provided in operative association with the harvesting implement based on the established correlation, and controlling the operation of the height cylinder and/or the tilt cylinder based on the control output(s) to adjust the vertical positioning and/or the lateral tilt of the harvesting implement relative to the ground surface.
Abstract: A threshing and separating system for an agricultural harvester includes a concave having a plurality of perforations; a rotor having an outer surface and at least partially enclosed by the concave; and a plurality of rasp bars connected to the outer surface of the rotor, each rasp bar having a working surface defining a working angle relative to a tangent of the outer surface. At least one of the rasp bars is an adjustable rasp bar with an adjustable working surface pivotably coupled to the rotor. The system further includes an actuator coupled to the adjustable rasp bar and configured to selectively pivot the adjustable working surface to adjust the working angle of the adjustable rasp bar.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to the treatment of diseases or conditions characterized by the buildup of fatty tissue, or hyperphagia, such as Prader-Willi syndrome, obesity, metabolic syndrome, type II diabetes, etc. A composition containing a monoclonal antibody directed against gastric inhibitory polypeptide is administered. Abstract: Methods and apparati for securely transferring application storage keys in an application in a trusted computing environment, when the trusted computing base is modified. In an apparatus embodiment of the present invention, a computing device comprises: a protected partition in which an application can execute without attack from outside a trusted computing base of the partition; and a storage key derivation module which provides a first storage key to said application, where the value of the first storage key is derived from a computation dependent upon a first version of the trusted computing base that is launched on the platform.
Abstract: Systems and methods for starting an engine that is incorporated into a hybrid vehicle driveline are described. In one example, a torque converter clutch is fully opened if a threshold amount has transpired after a request for torque converter clutch slip is requested but not delivered. Further, the torque converter clutch may be fully opened if a commanded torque converter clutch torque capacity is less than a threshold torque capacity.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a coherent detection array and methods of multiplexing for signal readout of the coherent detection array. The coherent detection array may be implemented on a photonic integrated circuit (PIC). It may comprise a plurality of coherent detection units coupling with connecting waveguides and electrical conducting paths, wherein the electrical conducting paths may manifest as readout channels for multiplexing electrical signals. The detection units may be configured to include free-space-to-waveguide couplers, optical couplers, and photodetectors. The coherent detection array enables multiplexing methods that may leverage extra degrees of freedom of the coherent detection array. These methods may include those enabled by the local oscillator and those related to the properties and responses of the components of the PIC-based detection array.
Abstract: Implementations are provided herein for encoding and transmitting streaming data from a client application to a server for storage without prior knowledge of the size of the streaming data. A header can be sent that includes a batch size chunk size. Raw streaming data can be packaged into the chunk. Chunks can be packaged and sent at any time prior to filling up with streaming data, by padding the chunk and including a footer that delineates the amount of raw stream data in the chunk. Chunks that are full can have a footer that delineates the entire chunk is raw stream data. It can be appreciated that you do not need to buffer data on the client side as chunks do not need to be full to send. Latency on processing streaming data can also be reduced by limited or eliminated buffering.
