Abstract: This document describes methods, devices, systems, and means for a switching scheme for opting in and out of multi-user orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (MU-OFDMA). In one aspect, an electronic device enters the MU-OFDMA mode to communicate via a wireless network over a shared-channel bandwidth. During the MU-OFDMA mode, the electronic device determines that an uplink-queue size is greater than a first threshold size. Responsive to the determining, the electronic device opts out of the MU-OFDMA mode and enters a single-user mode to contend for a transmit channel for transmitting uplink data.

Abstract: An email payment gateway may be configured to send emails to potential donors. The emails may include mailto hyperlinks. Each mailto hyperlink may be associated with one or more fundraising campaigns, and each mailto hyperlink describes an email message that may be generated when that hyperlink is selected. When a mailto hyperlink is selected, the generated email message may include one or more parameters related to the fundraising campaign associated with the hyperlink, such as an identifier of the fundraising campaign, donor identity or donation amount. The generated email message may then be transmitted to the email payment gateway. The email payment gateway may receive the message and, based on the parameters in the received message, process the donation on behalf of the donor.

Abstract: An automated communication design analysis and construction system includes that includes one or more intelligent communication design servers, comprising: a normalization module that converts communication content files for different recipients to normalized intermediate format files; an objects identification and quantification module that identifies text objects and image objects in the normalized intermediate format files; a cross-recipient group analysis module configured to identify static global objects that are invariant between recipients, data variables, and variable global objects that vary between recipients in the normalized intermediate format files; and an intelligent communication content learning and constructing engine that can construct standard communication design files based on the static global objects, the data variables, and the variable global objects. A data storage stores the communication content files and the standard communication design files.

Abstract: A voltage pre-regulator can receive a variable voltage in a middle voltage range (e.g., dozens of volts) and provide a regulated voltage in a safe operating region of a low voltage device. The use of the voltage pre-regulator can allow circuits to use low voltage devices to perform additional regulation/conversion without fear of damage. The voltage pre-regulator disclosed herein can perform the voltage reduction and regulation functions of pre-regulation with commonly used transistor types because the disclosed circuits and method use a bias circuit. The bias circuit uses positive feedback so that no additional start-up circuitry is required. The positive feedback is controlled by negative feedback so that the pre-regulator is able to provide a regulated voltage that is stable over a range of input voltages and temperatures.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a slider bar to protect a battery pack of a vehicle. The battery pack is housed on an underbody in between the vehicle's front and rear axles. The battery pack protrudes towards the ground. The battery pack can optionally be covered by a shield that has a slot through which the slider bar extends outwards towards the ground. The slider bar is coupled to the underbody near the battery pack. The slider bar is positioned lower than the battery pack such that in an event of the vehicle bottoming out, the impact will be absorbed by the slider bar instead of the battery pack. Thereby, the slider bar protects the battery pack from scraping/scratching the ground.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for controlling a function of a computing system using gaze detection. In examples, one or more images of a user are received and gaze information may be determined from the received one or more images. Non-gaze information may be received when the gaze information is determined to satisfy a condition. Accordingly, a function may be enabled based on the received non-gaze information. In examples, the gaze information may be determined by extracting a plurality of features from the received one or more images, providing the plurality of features to a neural network, and determining, utilizing the neural network, a location at a display device at which a gaze of the user is directed.

Abstract: Disclosed are a trim unit for a lamp and the lamp. The trim unit for the lamp includes: one or more installation parts, through enabling the installation parts to be abutted with a corresponding fixture of a lamp main body of the lamp, the trim unit may be fixed to the lamp main body at a light-emitting end of the lamp main body in a removable manner, and the trim unit includes an adjusting part, the adjusting part adjusts light emitted by an illuminating unit installed in the lamp main body. Therefore, a problem in the related art that an appearance decoration effect of the lamp is monotonous is solved.

Abstract: A technical document scanner disclosed herein determines and categorizes various common issues among a large number of documents. An implementation of the technical document scanner is implemented using various computer process instructions including scanning a technical document to extract content, applying named entity recognition on the extracted content from the technical document to extract named entities, applying relation extraction on the named entities to extract relations between the named entities, and analyzing the relations between the entities to compose lists of high relevance entities for issue checking.

Abstract: A memory apparatus and method of operation is provided. The apparatus includes memory cells connected to word lines and bit lines and arranged in a plurality of planes. The apparatus also includes a control circuit coupled to the word lines and the bit lines and configured to determine whether a program operation of the memory cells involves all of the plurality of planes. In response to the program operation of the memory cells not involving all of the plurality of planes, the control circuit adjusts at least one of a bit line ramp rate of a bit line voltage applied to the bit lines and a word line ramp rate of at least one word line voltage applied to the word lines during the program operation based on a quantity of the plurality of planes associated with the memory cells being program-verified in the program operation.

Abstract: Examples described herein relate to systems and methods for containing a faulty stimulus. A computer-implemented method may include listing in a suspect list every received stimulus including the faulty stimulus, and implicitly testing the stimuli by respectively acting upon those stimuli by a software application. Responsive to successfully acting upon each of the stimuli besides the faulty stimulus, each non-faulty stimulus is deleted from the suspect list and, responsive to such deletion, made available to a downstream node. Responsive to acting upon the faulty stimulus, the software application crashes which leaves the faulty stimulus listed in the suspect list. The software application then restarts and deems the faulty stimulus as being faulty based upon the faulty stimulus still being listed in the suspect list after the restart.

Abstract: A vaporizer assembly, which includes a heating element and a conduit assembly configured to direct air to flow through a conduit in fluid communication with the heating element, further includes a dispensing interface assembly configured to be in fluid communication with both the conduit and the vaporizer assembly exterior. The dispensing interface assembly includes a first dispensing interface and a second dispensing interface. The first dispensing interface is in direct fluid communication with the conduit and the heating element. A portion of the second dispensing interface is exposed to the vaporizer assembly exterior. The second dispensing interface is isolated from direct fluid communication with the heating element by the first dispensing interface, and the first dispensing interface is isolated from direct fluid communication with the reservoir by the second dispensing interface.

Abstract: A spindle nut retainer is used with a spindle with a flat portion on its threaded end. The flat portion interrupts the threads on the threaded end. A washer with a mating flat portion is slidably mounted over the threaded end and a nut is removably threaded to the threaded end of the spindle against the washer to set the preload on bearings. The nut retainer overlays a plurality of the corners of the nut and engages the threaded portion of the spindle with tangs. A majority of the tangs are flexed or bent to remain in biased contact with the threads on the spindle. Some of the tangs are located over the flat portion and remain unbent. The tangs resist rotation of the nut by engagement with the flat portion where it meets the threads.

The disclosure also conveys a transplanter assembly useful in transplant operations where a plug holder is oriented at a non-perpendicular angle to the surface of a grow tower or other structure that contains the plug holder. The disclosure also provides a transplanter system useful in transplanting plugs into grow towers.

Abstract: A mushroom blend comprises therapeutically effective amounts of the isolated strains Grifola frondosa (GF AM-P36), Ganoderma lucidum (GL AM-P38), and Pleurotus ostreatus (PO AM-GP37). Methods of use for supporting gut health include increasing SCFAs including butyrate in the gastrointestinal tract. A method is described for increasing microbial diversity in the gastro-intestinal tract in a human subject, including administering to the human subject an effective amount of a fungal prebiotic-containing composition comprising a blend of more than one fungal species. One useful blend of three species includes Ganoderma lucidum (“GL”), Grifola frondosa (GF), and Pleurotus ostreatus (PO). Operational Taxonomic Units (OTUs) including Lachnospiraceae, Lachnoclostridium and the various Ruminococcaceae are all dose-dependently increased when the mushroom blend is fed, which is significant for Lachnospiraceae UCG-004, Ruminococcaceae UCG-002, and Ruminococcaceae NK4A214.

Abstract: Proppant embedment can sometimes be problematic during fracturing operations. A partially oxidized, amine-functionalized polysaccharide comprising a plurality of oxidatively opened monosaccharide units and bearing an amine moiety at one or more sites of oxidative opening may lessen the amount of proppant embedment that occurs. Fracturing methods may comprise providing a fracturing fluid comprising such a partially oxidized, amine-functionalized polysaccharide and a plurality of proppant particulates, introducing the fracturing fluid into a subterranean formation at a hydraulic pressure sufficient to create or extend one or more fractures therein, such that at least a portion of the plurality of proppant particulates become localized in the one or more fractures, and releasing the hydraulic pressure. Upon releasing the hydraulic pressure, embedment of the proppant particulates in a face of the one or more fractures is about 10% to about 40% of a grain size of the proppant particulates.
