  • Patent number: 11200769
Abstract: A movable barrier operator transmits a message to a remote peripheral platform and, upon determining that the remote peripheral platform is presently able to carry out a given functionality, responsively permits a particular function to be carried out by the movable barrier operator. Conversely, upon determining that it cannot be ascertained whether the remote peripheral platform is presently able to carry out the given functionality, the movable barrier operator responsively prevents the movable barrier operator from carrying out the particular function. Also, upon detecting that a targeted remote platform does not acknowledge a previously re-transmitted message and further upon detecting that this same remote platform has also not acknowledged a subsequent wirelessly-transmitted second message, the system can switch to automatically retransmitting that second message a lesser number of times than would otherwise be required.

  • Patent number: 11197797
Abstract: A system for treating soft tissue of a patient. The system includes a treatment head and a computer portion. The treatment head includes a probe and an electrode operably coupled to the probe. The probe and electrode are configured to respectively deliver a mechanical force impulse and an electrical stimulation to the soft tissue when placed in operable contact with the soft tissue. The computer portion includes a CPU and is configured to coordinate the delivery of the mechanical force impulse and electrical stimulation relative to each other. The system is configured to sense a shockwave in the soft tissue of the patient, the shockwave resulting from the mechanical force impulse delivered to the soft tissue via the probe. The system is also configured to analyze a characteristic of the sensed shockwave and configure the electrical stimulation to be delivered to the soft tissue via the electrode based on the characteristic analysis of the sensed shockwave.

  • Patent number: 11200224
Abstract: In one example, a method includes receiving, at a cloud storage site, chunks that each take the form of a hash of a combination that includes two or more salts and a file object, and one of the salts is a retention salt shared by the chunks, monitoring a time period associated with the retention salt, when the time period has expired, removing the chunks that include the retention salt, and depositing the removed chunks in a deleted items cloud store.

  • Patent number: 11197408
Abstract: A system measures the roughness of the ground surface over which an agricultural implement passes as measured in the direction of travel. The system includes at least one ground sensor attached to the agricultural implement that provides measurement of the distance to the ground. A controller is connected to the at least one ground sensor, and controls at least one adjustment of the agricultural implement. The at least one ground sensor provides instantaneous output based on the distance to the ground to the controller. The controller then calculates at least one statistical parameter from the instantaneous output. The at least one statistical parameter is calculated from variations in the distance to the ground in the direction of travel of the agricultural implement.

  • Patent number: 11198437
Abstract: A method and apparatus that perform threat zone assessment in a host vehicle are provided. The method includes detecting a target vehicle in a nonadjacent lane with respect to the host vehicle, determining dimensions of the detected target vehicle, a type of the detected target vehicle, and geometry of a road on which the detected target vehicle and the host vehicle are traveling, calculating the threat zone based on the dimensions of the detected target vehicle, the type of the detected target vehicle, or the geometry of the road on which the detected target vehicle and the host vehicle are traveling, and controlling the host vehicle to avoid the calculated threat zone by accelerating the host vehicle, decelerating the host vehicle, or aborting a lane change by the host vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11200253
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided that enable immediate access to data associated with a source blob. The foregoing is achieved by creating a copy-on-read blob based on the source blob and a link blob based on the copy-on-read blob for each virtual machine to be deployed. When creating the copy-on-read blob, the source blob is not copied. Instead, data from the source blob is copied to the copy-on-read blob upon request by a virtual machine. Subsequent requests for that data are retrieved from the copy-on-read blob. Each link blob stores write data provided by its corresponding virtual machine. When a virtual machine requests data, its corresponding link blob is checked for the data. If the data is not stored therein, the copy-on-read blob is checked for the data. If the copy-on-read blob does not store the data, the data is retrieved from the source blob.

  • Patent number: 11200505
Abstract: A system and method for predicting search term popularity is disclosed herein. A database system may comprise a first database cluster H and a second database cluster L. A machine learning algorithm is trained to create a predictive model. Thereafter, for each record in a database system, the predictive model is used to calculate a probability of the record being accessed. If the calculated probability of the record being accessed is greater than a threshold value, then the record in the first database cluster H; otherwise, the record is placed in the second database cluster L. Training the machine learning algorithm comprises inputting a training feature vector associated with the record into the machine learning algorithm, inputting a cost vector into the machine learning algorithm, and iteratively operating the machine learning algorithm on each record in the set of records to create a predictive model. Other embodiments are also disclosed herein.
